No it's not like that at all. Rams were pressed right up against the cap and could not afford to keep him. The AA comparison is way off as well. It doesn't really even make sense to say because he would have to be traded and Samson was a FA.

Now your post is way weaker than expected. Wrong, the Rams could've afforded him if they wanted to. Maybe you didn't pay attention to the contract details.

It looks to be a different role however. What was Hyder's value to his previous team before we signed him?
Yes i don't have amy expectations for this dude. Hope he plays well
As long as he gets 6 to 8 sacks a year depending on how many pass rush attempts he gets it's a great deal for us. Also the fact that he is young and has never been injured is a huge plus
I'd be totally satisfied with 6 to 8 sacks

Well the Rams had cap issues, they only re-signed Floyd, they lost in addition to Ebukam, John Johnson and Troy Hill.

Didn't they also lose their first round starting DT too? They have 0 depth and their D is overrated imo. They better hope to be the least injured team in football like last year

Said this in the draft day thread but no Edge players picked suggests to me that they're pretty high on this guy as a big part of the Nickel Edge rotation

Or they put all their chips in the Dee Ford basket. That should workout well...

If all their chips were in on DF, they wouldn't have signed Samson.

Its a weak edge class. They probably didn't want to reach

Even if you could tell the future and knew Ford and Bosa would be healthy, you still need rotational players. I could be wrong, but I don't think we gave Samson starter money.

He'll probably get favorable matchups, as he's the worst starting d-lineman we have.
