I don't know any bar that doesn't bend when you get past
250lbs. Including Olympic bars.

Yeah Olympic bars usually bend with 4 or more wheels on. (405 lbs) Either way he's pretty strong and most importantly never injured. I just hope he outperforms Hyder because that guy was signed by the Seahawks for less than Samson

I love how people are throwing random numbers out there.

There's 3 25s and 4 45s on each side.

6 x 25=150

8 x 45=360

Standard Olympic barbell=45

Add all that up and you get 555 pounds.

ORRRRRRRR

He is squatting around a third of a 1967 VW Bug.

Wait, is a 1967 VW Bug the same or close to what Bumblebee was in the Transformers G1 series? I just loved his look.

I'll sign onto that. I just see him as the perfect fit, and he gets to go back to where he brot thunder…the 4-3. I think he was misused at Rams. Still , we need to see him play, but i have really high hopes for Ebuk.

I hope the outcome is similar to Shaq Barrett...played out of position with a bad scheme fit then changed teams and blossomed

I'm not expecting 19.5 sacks but 8-12 is a realistic goal IMO

A healthy Bosa + Kinlaw are going to wreck havoc on that line and draw all the attention.

It will never be easier for Ebukam.

Yeah I'm with you, I think he could end up being our version of Barrett, just not that kind of production, if he gives us 6-8 sacks, I'm happy, plus good pass rushing, tackles, etc... I think a change of scenery will really help him. And if by some chance Dee does play like say 11 of the 17 games, and gives us near 2019 numbers, 6.5 sacks, then we're set up well for the playoffs if we make it. Ebukam is one of the reasons why I'm not worried like others are about the EDGE, I like Bosa, Ebukam, Key, as well as AA, and I actually think Dee will play. Would have been nice to keep Hyder, but can't keep everyone. I think the DL is loaded, they just need to show it, guys like Hurst, Key, Kerr, Jones, Givens, Kinlaw, Ebukam, we know what we have in AA & Bosa. If the pass rush is there, our DBs will have an easier time in the secondary, a great pass rush can help CBs out big time. I'm ok with DBs, I just hope Verrett stays healthy, and Moseley, Ambry & Lenoir show something, and K'Waun plays like the elite slot CB he is. Ward, Tartt I'm fine with, I like Hufanga, but not sure who backs up Ward, is it Jefferson or Wilson, does Harris make it?

Are you saying he can squat a third of an autobot?

Autobots have additional hardware to facilitate both life-function and the transform process itself.
Don't assume that if you can squat the equivalent (or 1/3rd as stated) of the vehicle that you could squat the actual bot.

Does anyone else think Ahmad Brooks is a good comp for this guy?

Yes

No.

Ahmad Brooks was 2 inches taller, 30 lbs heavier, and won primarily with speed. Ebukam is a lot smaller and despite that is primarily a power rusher and wins through contact and effort. But I could see Ebukam developing into an Ahmad Brooks-type impact player if that's what you mean. Brooks was very young and underdeveloped but showed tons of potential when he got here. 49ers put him in a position to flourish, and he did just that.

MIND BLOWN, and this is true, Autobots have more hardware to help them function, so Ebukam can squat Bumblebee

Brooks was super underrated. Dude was so good at setting the edge and still racked up quite a few sacks. He was just overshadowed by Aldon.

Man that defense. Smith bros, Ray Mac, Brooks with Bowman and Willis in the middle. Then Whitner and Goldson laying the wood.

Yeah, for sure, Ahmad was a great player.
