We have Bosa, Jackson, Willis, Hyder, Turray, and Ebukam. I know you can never have enough edge guys but does anyone keep 6 edge rushers?

I'm fine with Ebukam for 2022. It's the last year of his contract, ended 2021 strong, and should be motivated for his next contract (he's 27). I think that will add up to a quality season. If I had to predict, I think Willis is the odd man out. Outside of his punt block, he wasn't very effective from what I remember of 2021, although some of that could be attributed to his PED suspension.

seemed like Willis was just a half second away from the QB everytime.. hopefully he keeps up the pressure when jackson/Bosa gets rest

We'll keep 6 EDGE rushers, if we keep 10 DL, I don't see Ebukam being let go, played very well towards the end of the season, during our run to the playoffs.

I'd go with the following.

DE: Bosa, Ebukam, Turay, Hyder, Jackson, Omenihu
DT: Armstead, Givens
NT: Kinlaw, Ridgeway

I also think Jordan Willis, who I have as a lock, or was till the draft, is the odd man out, doesn't have anything GTD, while the only other option is to cut Omenihu, but they traded a 2023 6th for him.

I forgot about Omenihu. I don't have a problem with Ebukam. Its the 8 million dollars. Its not my cross to bare and I know it will get done eventually, but I'm just wondering at what point do we start addressing this?

Idk how this effects things, but I hope there is someway to keep all 11. I think all have some value and some could net some trade compensation if it came right down to it.

We've got 7 freaking ends lol. What did we have in 2017? 2018? Come a long way. If only Dee Ford could be counted on.

Yea i think the money is the killer. If its not gtd and we have new guys who can take his snaps, he gone. Bosa eating it.

Also have Omenihu. I'd imagine Willis and Hyder are the trade candidates at end of preseason.
This guy is quietly having a really strong season. Ebukam consistently sets a hard edge, and he's max effort on every play and relentless as a pass rusher. I don't know how many pressures he had last night, but it had to be almost as many as Nick.

He's picked up right where he left off last season.

Speaking of cash, I would not be upset if they extended him. Dude is only 27 years old and appears to be hitting his stride in the wide 9.
The guy has played better then the beginning of last year. I'm starting to come around on him

Samson said he wasn't rushing with technique until he came to the 49ers. In one full year he's improved and is still young. At this rate, he may price himself out of the 49ers price range. Nice thread bump, he deserves the recognition.

Hope they do it soon or he may be too expensive

I figured Ebukam may be the odd man out due to what he likely can command. If he puts together a 6+ sack season, he's gone.
