Yeah with Hurd and James being disappointing it's at least nice Sherfield has been better than we would have thought so far

As good as he has been this past two games I still think he's WR #4. Only reason I think you don't hear him taking WR #3 spot is because Sanu is most likely penciled in at #3 already and is being saved more for the regular season. Either way I think Sherfield will be a 49er for a few years. if he keeps playing like he has.

I was hoping Sherfield can be WR3 with Deebo moving to the slot when they go three WRs. I think Kyle really likes Sanu and what he brings to the field as a bigger slot and good run blocker. Sherfield will be a valuable backup and if Kyle thinks the three WR group (Aiyuk, Deebo, Sanu) needs more speed, then Sherfield is ready to go and replace Sanu.

I absolutely love this dude. I love is swagger, I love his game. he's made good catches, takes a hit, full of energy. Reminds me of KB but a little faster. Very excited about Sherfield.

He's only 25 years old. I'd like to see Deebo, Aiyuk and Sherfield with this team for a long time. He might not play as much as Sanu this year, but he's definitely #3 of the future, no problem. Who knows, maybe Deebo or Aiyuk become expendable a few years down the road when contract extension time comes. They're not going to be able to pay everyone, especially after Bosa. I'm not wishing for this or anything, just food for thought.

Him & Lance definitely have a nice little chemistry together. So far, Sherfield has been our most reliable pass catcher
