If the 49ers had any confidence in Rosen, they wouldn't have had any reason to look at Sudfeld.

If Tampa had any confidence in Rosen, he would have never been available to the 49ers because they would have put him on their roster. Instead they opted to keep Ryan Griffin over him as their #3 QB.

If you were a Top 10 pick and a few years later you can't even lock up the QB equivalent of the assistant to the regional manager, you're in real trouble.

Nate who happen to spend all year with our now QB coach gets a deal that is most likely not going to end with him on the 53. Sounds like a guy you pay to spend time with your young players to me.

Arizona hired a new coach and that new coach wanted his QB and that's why Rosen was traded to Miami

Miami's owner made the Tua pick and that's why Rosen did not count anymore..

DONT EVER THINK that both Arizona and Miami would not ship Murray and Tua some place else IF they were picking first this year..

I'm not sure if you KNOW this, Steve Young was not traded to us because he was a BUST.. he was traded because RAY PERKINS knew they were drafting

Rosen was literally force fed the ball his rookie year and failed horribly. Went to Miami and was a turnover machine in the few opportunities they actually gave him while completing only 53% of his passes. Couldn't even make the active roster in Tampa as a practice squad player.

I hope to God we don't draft Jones at 3. I will say with confidence that if Rosen is clearly better than Sudfield on the practice field he'll make the team. Who the team takes at 3 is them simply projecting what rookie qb will eventually be the best for their scheme not necessarily who's the best on the field right now.

Agree. I think Josh Jhonson is basically the covid QB guy that will mimic the two NFC west Midgets in practice. The competition would be between Rosen and Sudfeld for one of the QB backup positions. QB pick #3 would be the primary backup to Jimmy if Jimmy starts.
