CB/EDGE plus depth everywhere needs to be the priority this off season.

Landry

I'm still pretending we drafted him.

HA...win some lose some

I think Haason Reddick would look nice in red/gold too. I haven't done a deep dive into the draft this yr but we should have some cash to work with with Jimmy and Ford off the books.

I thought Ford still has some dead money, significant dead money, no matter what we do next year?

With that said, I'd love Reddick. Whoever is playing at 3 next year would eat with all of the attention given to the edges. Of course we can't account for the refs not calling holds but it's a good start.

It should AA and DJ inside next year in base. I don't see any reason why Javon Kinlaw should be given that spot back next year. Arik Armstead has settled in against the run, and he's lightyears better as pass rusher than Kinlaw from inside. If they can help it, I don't ever want to see AA outside again.

Definitely no need to give it. Let him beat AA out.

Post June 1st cut, factor that in when you're doing contracts. I'd still rather draft someone
I didn't expect him to be this good on the interior. May be the biggest surprise of the season

Yup. I just saw, 7 million in savings. I'd cut him at 12:01 AM June 2nd. My preference is to draft someone in the 2nd (if we get a 2nd by trading Jimmy) or 3rd. We just need to keep the talent on rookie contracts coming.

I think you can still cut him befor June 1st but you have to label it a post June 1st cut…so you can't touch that cash until then, which is fine if you're planning on extension guys with that cash

This year's Kerry Hyder. Ho hum signing that turned out to fill an important role.
Another key signing by Lynch!

Agree. They got some great gems in free agency. In addition to Key, there is Ebukam and I think even Omenihu who have the potential to be up there in sacks - if they get an opportunity to stay in the Kocurek system for another year.
Clip was posted in the AA thread, but watch Key put the left guard in a blender. It's stupid how good Key has been from inside. I wonder what his win % is relative to other interior DL. I bet he's near the top of the league.

Excellent FA pick-up!

And excellent coaching up by Kocureck.
I really hope we can figure out a way to keep him. He has been really good, and I am not counting on Kinlaw to do much of anything for us.
