He can come back for 2 to 3. That's fine. There'll be an injury at some point.

Quite possibly, he could get a higher offer than 3 mil from Jags, Lions or Ravens, but if he wants to get real close to a SB it's either us or Ravens.

Not for sure but with 2 million in salary cap space and the fact we just signed Hyder I think it's done. We would have to come close or compete with the three teams he's already visited

Well, one option is when Jimmy's cap hit is gone, maybe the 49ers can offer more to Arden than what they can offer now. Key may be a very late signing this year, if that's the case. It depends on when the 49ers can get rid of Jimmys cap hit though.

Four team visits and still only got a 1 year deal that is likely highly incentivized. I mean McCloud's contract certainly isn't going to be worth the max value so I doubt Key gets close to $7m but it is certainly a higher max value than we were willing to offer.

My guess is he will bounce around the league after next season, since Jax is where FA go to ruin their careers.

Kocurek deserves about half of that. Key was looking busty after his stint with the Raiders. Bring Key back in 2023 for a Hyder-like deal.

I don't mind marginal players like Key jumping from team to team. Players like him are always on the edge of getting cut so they need to ge where they can get paid the most. There not like the top players who get paid megabucks. Those guys should be more concerned about winning since most of them have enough money to last a lifetime if they don't blow it.
