Yup, good way to do business.

Nice little contract - wish him luck.
Kocurek deserves about half of that. Key was looking busty after his stint with the Raiders. Bring Key back in 2023 for a Hyder-like deal.
Wow that's a lot. Ya no doubt he should be giving half of that to KK.
Probably a ton of incentives...base salary probably pretty reasonable
Yeah, he probably got a $4M base with the rest in incentives.
Sad to see him go. I know coach Kocureck would have turned him into an all pro here. Oh well. Wherever he is - Jags I think - he's probably going to revert back to what he was with the Raiders. We shall see. I'm betting, we'll see him back here (possibly) a la Kerry Hyder.

I wanted Key back, but not a 1yr deal worth up to $7M, too much IMO.

Good for him. Now, the niners need to replace him.

Not sure yet, but if it comes in over $2.5M, we'll have 4 projected comp picks(5th for DJ, 3 7th's for Mostert, K'Waun, & Key), in addition to the 2 3rd rd special comp picks from Saleh/Mayhew & McDaniel losses.

He kind of was. I'm not bummed. I would have liked him back for familiarity and him rushing inside in nickel but with Willis, Hurst and Ridgeway, the FO had already gone another direction.

True. I call every DT that unless he's a great interior pass rusher. Heck, we were the #1 rush defense without Kinlaw or Hurst. Ha. Dime a dozen. JAG.

With the return of Willis and Hyder, not really a need for Key. Liked what he did last season, but he's nowhere near worth $7M.

Doug Pederson tryna make Shaguars relevant, been very busy in FA. We shall see. Congrats to AK for getting a big check.
If he sucks and gets released, he'll want to come back and beast out for much lower price
