I don't know what the hell Gruden was thinking when he cut this dude, but I'll chalk it up to the Raiders being the Raiders.

Here's a Mo-Hurst preview from last season to get you excited for this season: Hurst seals the victory for the Raiders last with a pure POWER rush on a 3-man rush. He barrels through 3 blockers with get-off, power, and natural leverage. Feet never stop working. He uses a BEAUTIFUL forklift technique to pry off and control the center's inside hand as he works half man and bulldozes his way to the QB.

Hurst can make some plays and be disruptive, no doubt about it. I'm looking forward to the Niners giving him a fair chance. From what I've seen of Hurst, I can see him doing very well in this scheme and getting plenty of playing time with the rotations, regardless of whether he starts off as the starting 3-tech.

Raiders not only cut him but he had little to no interest from teams in free agency once cut. I think he will be a nice rotational piece but It's hard to imagine him being more than that.

I can imagine him being a pretty strong impact player in the DL rotations considering the talent he'll have around him w/ this group.

He's In a good position to succeed with our D-line coach and the talent he'll have around him .

I dunno, it looks more like the RB takes a wrong angle and knocks the center off his pass protection block and basically frees up Hurst to kill the QB. still an impressive play by Hurst if he wrongfooted both the center and the RB.

Didn't the bears have the absolute worst offensive line in the NFL last year?

Sorry Hero but barring injury there is no way Hurst is taking Kinlaw's job. Kocurek was Kinlaw's biggest supporter leading up to the 2020 draft.

It was really bad but for them, much worse play was from their tackles. Their IOL has 2 good players

You're likely right. The 49ers aren't going to let some guy signed off the street who was freshly cut by the Raiders come in and replace their 14th overall pick. The optics of that would be disastrous. They made a massive investment in Kinlaw, and he's going to get every opportunity to develop. Let's pray he does because that would be massive for the organization.

He will at least be consistently in The top 15 DTs imo. That's not saying a lot but to have a good DT for many years with the 14th pick I say not bad.

The right guard is blocking grass. Nothing about that play is impressive.

Nothing about that play is impressive to someone that has no clue what they're looking at. I see a plan and execution of technique. Let me put you up on game:

Wins with the forklift shows up multiple times on tape going back to Michigan. Hurst understands the importance of having a plan and executing it. That's something I hope he helps Kinlaw with.

Of course you completely ignore what happens with the right guard.
The left guard too. That's just bad pass protection.

It is kind of confusing why Hurst wasn't double teamed there with a three man rush.
