Kyle even said it himself. When you get to camp and the season its all about the playbook and preparing for the next opponent, not working on fundamentals and mechanics. That need to be done outside of the season. With new practice rules and all that there is limited time on the actual field for everything to get implemented and installed. Obviously there will be some drills that emphasize fundamentals but the work has to be done in the offseason. Thats also when these QBs make the jump, Josh Allen, Alex Smith who went to Brees's guy and even Brees credited allot of his development to his out of season QB coach.

I've said this over and over yet people tell me I'm wrong

I'd like Lance to workout with Palmer this off season

Tom House did wonders with Drew Brees

The true professionals improve the most over the offseason. That's why there's such a huge gap between the ones that just keep going (ala Tom Brady) and the ones that fall off (countless examples @ the QB position).

Not only that,...but you go almost all offseason without honing your skills and you legit go backwards with some of the stuff you just mastered. Not going to get into brain talk again,...but this is how the mind body connection is. That's why we can learn a language pretty well in HS and forget it a couple years later. Use it or lose it.

Now coming from college some top ranked QBs truly just never had it...but alot of them just never put in the offseason work.

Obviously I've lectured this point a million times as well.

Probably, have no one else to do it. Hurts is a running Qb.

LMAO. I was the one telling you the other day I question how much coaching our QB's have been getting over the years, especially regarding mechanics, given how all 5 had or continue to have issues here.

And of course you argued that...now you're pitching for private coaching.
At this pace. Trey will have 17 TD's, no incompletions and no INT's. That's a great rookie season!

No you complained about our coaches and development…. I said players develop the most on their own (with help form position gurus) in the off season. Sounds like former players agree. I also said kyle gets the most out of the players he has, especially at QB.

How they evaluate talent is a totally different topic

Curious to see if/when Lance will be worked in tomorrow in the gameplan vs. the Eagles.

B.S. it was. We were LITERALLY talking about how both Garoppolo and Trey struggle with mechanics...then I referenced all the others as well. Seems like a global issue here. Maybe Kyle is the Kaepernick of coaches when it comes to mechanics (ain't nobody got time fo dat).

I agree they all should get private coaching too.

Kyle's scheme gets the most out of his QB's...not his attention to detail on mechanics.

Maybe a 49ers QB Coach could help. LOL

I said over and over players learn the most in the off season and with position gurus. The only BS is you putting words in my mouth. clearly past NFL players agree.

yes Jimmy has bad mechanics overall had it before he came here. HE'S SUPPOSE TO WORKS ON THAT, that's something done in the off season overall. Same for every position.

You honestly think Kyle is sitting there working on QB mechanics lol? Why do you think he told Trey to take those 40 days before TC and work with Beck/Avery?

during the season it's all about film, recovery, and installing the weekly game plan.

so this whole he can't develop a QB is dumb.
