I'm with you on the sink or swim part, Trey absolutely has to play. My belief is Kyle simply feels Trey isn't even ready for that at this point. Probably having second thoughts about that trade but that's not even the point. If he thought Trey was capable, he would be out there now.

He means when Lance shows Kyle he's ready, and yes that would have to be in practice.
I'm with you on the sink or swim part, Trey absolutely has to play. My belief is Kyle simply feels Trey isn't even ready for that at this point. Probably having second thoughts about that trade but that's not even the point. If he thought Trey was capable, he would be out there now.

That's the conundrum and why I thought a developmental project qb was the absolute wrong choice here.
Trey has to develop…..but to develop he has to play….but he's not ready….so where do we go from here?

I expect him to sprinkle in some Lance against the Packers. Night game at home against a so so defense is a much better opportunity for him to get a few snaps.

Lol then he should have NEVER spent 3 1sts on a 20 yr old that played one season of football…ya'll want development yet don't want to put the time in to develop him overall.

Home crowd could play a big factor. A more relaxed atmosphere to help calm any nerves. With the uncertainty at RB, the running game can use a boost with some zone read stuff.
