I think it's simply about what Kyle thinks gives us the best chance to win.

Scheme and playcalling wasn't the issue Sunday.

Play calling was the issue to start the game. Shanny made adjustments and things took off from that point. It didn't help that JG was off on his passes to start and the drops on two of his first three passes stifled any chance of getting into a rhythm.
That Philly defensive is not the one to experiment against. I think being on the sideline soaking up everything is the right place for Trey right now.

Can't deny Trey is so lucky to be in his situation. Similar to Patrick Mahomes, he's spending his rookie year learning from a mastermind coach, and sitting behind a veteran leader in Jimmy. It's almost guaranteed success.

against bad run defenses i guess/hope he will play more and will keep other teams guessing if to prepare for him or not

This is a great week to play Trey

GB has a short week and they have to travel

How much of their time do they invest preparing for Trey Lance this week?

Good point.

Id like to see a deep bomb to Aiyuk from Lance this game.

I think this Is the week we see a big performance from Kittle more than anything, hopefully some contribution from Aiyuk too would be nice.
Considering the lack of running backs, I expect Lance to be in there at least a few times for runs. And maybe a PA or 2.

um....what?

You can forget the situational bs that kyle tried to chat up in preseason.

Blabbing it to the other 32 head coaches was dumb.

Only if the game is in hand will trey see action.

Tried to share his genius and lost the element of surprise thereby blowing the whole thing up.

If Lance cant develop on the practice field he was never going to make it in the NFL

What practice field lol? A rookie at TC after a yr off of football? Please give me a break. Even Kyle said Lance was further along then he originally thought he would be during the off season.

People talking about in season practice like it's some meaningful thing are full of it. They're not splitting reps and getting snaps with the starters. That goes to the starter. Period.

all he's doing is watching film, training, being a scout QB and practicing any "packages" Kyle has for him.

again people want him to develop yet don't want him to actually play football in order to develop. So stupid.

Why are you getting mad at folks in here? If you think Trey not starting is so egregious, then direct your outrage towards Kyle.

Lol then he should have NEVER spent 3 1sts on a 20 yr old that played one season of football…

Glad you've finally come to this conclusion too
