Oh but I'm sure you will complain about it

Interesting meaningless poll that popped up in my YouTube feed.

I'm actually surprised Lance got as many votes as he did considering he's had like 3 snaps in the nfl so far.

Happy to see Warner getting the recognition he deserves.

Yeah then he should be fired along with everyone else. They will not have Jimmy starting in 2022 which is what that comment was based from

As soon as the trade was made, it was one of the all-time worst draft trades. So yeah, it's a fireable offense except you're never going to find a coach better than Shanahan on the market. Just fire Lynch and hire someone who can actually draft and control Shanahan's dumb draft decisions

Its only dumb if it doesn't work out!

Weird that Nick Bosa isn't on there

this.
Some folks are so butt hurt that their guy isn't starting. Its almost like they favor a player over the team. A fan only has two options, you either support the team or you don't. Its the only thing a fan can control. Everything else is a waste of energy.

When Kyle believes Trey Lance gives us the best chance to win he will start but not until then. Until then, trust in the process and trust in Kyle.

Exactly. He needs to learn how to study NFL defenses on film. That has zero to do with playing, he should be preparing and sitting in the room prepping like he is starting.

He needs to work on his footwork within THIS offense. That doesn't come by playing. That comes through practicing it 1000x and then playing.

He's not going to get the live reps of practice but those 2 things are huge for his development.

What you don't think he's done that? Everything we've read/heard on this kid is he's a film junkie…you can watch all the film you want, doesn't mean anything until you actually have to do it. You learn mostly by doing, not watching it on a TV. This kid hasn't had a chance to play much football at all…he's gotta play at some point. That's what he's missing.

how do you practice it when you don't take the reps with THIS team to begin with? The starters get most of the reps in season during practice. He was literally the scout team QB this past week.

his mechanics improve the most during the off season with a QB guru and on his own. The team at this point is all about winning and installing the weekly play book vs working on Lance's feet all week. I mean why do you think kyle wanted him to work with Beck/Avery during that 40 day period before TC? He wants you to do that and come in ready to learn the playbook. Kyle said he knows the playbook already.

look I get it, ya'll want Jimmy and that's fine…he knows the playbook and has NFL starts. I'm fine with him starting. Lance will need live in the pocket reps at some point this yr though. It's a process and that most certainly is part of it…this team committed to that process the moment they trade up for him and the fan base needs to be on board with that as well.

So you agree that Lance is not ready yet? Do you also agree Lance will be sitting there for a while if Jimmy keeps winning except for the odd cameo on game day? Furthermore, in the event JG takes us to the SB this year and wins it then it will be groundhog day next year. You agree with that to don't you?

Trey won't be starting until JG starts playing like Kap did in 2016 or unless JG is hurt or goes on IR.

I said the best chance. Obviously Jimmy's play is factored into that statement.

Dont be stupid. He would have let Catchmaster and Random vote 5 times each but Random stuffed up his vote a couple of time. NY85 voted 971 times. Please be more careful with your posting of stats because us people with OCD get upset if you get it wrong.

Kyle won't trade a single win for development.

Players get better on the bench, just look at the guy we play on Sunday.

Lance will start when Kyle thinks he will give the 49ers as good of a chance to win week in and week out as JG.

I am sure we will see him sprinkled in here and there.

Lol then he should have NEVER spent 3 1sts on a 20 yr old that played one season of football…

Glad you've finally come to this conclusion too

I think the plan all along is to being a qb up slowly behind Jimmy. Once we moved up to 3 we all knew this is Jimmy team for this year. He's played goof so far.

Kyle and John have said this at nauseam all off season. They are not lying but people don't want to listen. Trey will play when he's ready and not sooner and that's the way it should be. Whether that's week 6 or the beginning of next year. We have a great qb situation let it play out and RELAX. we should win a lot of games this year bar major injuries again.

It's just how the majority of the fan base feels. The 10 or so guys here definitely doesn't represent how the majority of the fan base feels about him.

The poll here would be similar, probably Kittle winning though
