Hopefully the flow allows to mix him in...first rushing TD for Trey today?

It kind of reminds me (a little bit) of the Joe vs Steve arguments that have populated the 49er boards since the dynasty years. Mac Jones - pocket passer vs Trey Lance - mobile QB.

If you could have put Joe's brain into Steve's body, I'm betting he'd have doubled his ring count.
I am thinking, with us hurting at RB, today will be a good day to use the running threat of Lance more than ever before.

That's what I'm banking on

It's the opposite.

I believe this will happen too Woo, especially considering or RB situation. I think Trey gets snaps today and gives our offense some juice

What you mean brodie? You thinking he gonna throw it today?

He should see at least 8-10 snaps today. Won't be a more perfect game to utilize him all season. Playing at home against a so-so defense missing its top pass rusher with a crap defensive coordinator.

Give him a few runs, a few easy throws and a couple opportunities at throwing it way down the field, just to give future opponents a lot to 🤔.

Agree 100% bro. With our division rivals coming up, give them a whole lot to think about and prepare for. Would love to see Lance hit on both a huge gain running it and a bomb down the field

Yeah,I don't want him out there just to do the zone read. I'd like to see Shanahan have a few deep shots to Aiyuk and Sherfield in his back pocket. A throw like the big pass he made in preseason would really keep defenses on their toes and do wonders for his confidence without a doubt.

I liked what the Saints had going with Brees and Hill but neither of those guys has the arm talent that Lance does. May as well let him use it.

No, I'm thinking its not a good day to bring trey out unless we have a big lead.

We don't have our usual depth chart to keep the d from teeing off on trey on read options.

The only counter would be to set up trey in the pocket which he's not ready for:

preseason = 40 pass attempts, 7 sacks, < 50% completion. Facts.

Why set up our franchise jewels for failure?

Shanny no do that.

Besides, kyle needs to start building a bridge back to Jimmy, who will make or break our playoff chances this year.

Shining his shoes a little will make it easier for jimmy to stop answering questions about trey with "it is what it is."

But if and only if it keeps jimmy's performance up, like it has been.

That's really the yardstick for everything that happens in the media.

My god Herbert is good.

I lumped him in with all the other duck quarterbacks but man I haven't seen a dude throw lasers like that since elway

His qbr is 42.8. Way less than jimmy's.

I guess this proves mayos proposal that QBR actually measures mediocrity.

Except for that pesky mahomes, messing up the stats....
