I lumped him in with all the other duck quarterbacks but man I haven't seen a dude throw lasers like that since elway

His qbr is 42.8. Way less than jimmy's.

I guess this proves mayos proposal that QBR actually measures mediocrity.

Except for that pesky mahomes, messing up the stats....

They update QBRs midgame? Where you getting this from?

I'll be honest, the more I see of Mac Jones the more I think the 49ers may have screwed up.

Its been 2 weeks, and all Mac has done is throw checkdowns. His ceiling is Andy Dalton.

Yeah, guy is a statue back there and all he does it hit 10 yard passes.

Is this a joke? Mac jones leading all rookies in qbr.

Maybe, exaggerating a little bit - but, still a little overrated.

It's funny to watch the analysts hate on mac jones. Lots of professional reputations at stake for the measurables guys. "Looks like the michelin man. Can't possibly succeed." Oh yea, they'll be jumping on every mistake...even when they are not mistakes....

He's done nothing difficult or impressive so far. He hasn't even faced hardly any pressure. Hes just been throwing little high % dump off passes to build confidence and avoid turnovers. Hes everything this entire fanbase has hated over the year. Limited player with no athleticism. Its mind boggling that some fans still criticize the 49ers for passing on him. Hes an 7-9 win QB who will occasionally lead you to a 1st round playoff loss.
Once again rookies QB are looking like garbage. Patience my fellow faithful.

FWIW Mac didn't look like garbage in his first two games. Cannot comment on his performance today as I am not watching that game. He hasn't set the world on fire either but he has played well in those two outings by rookie QB standards.

I dont think they logged the QBR of today's game midgame though. Jubwu's comments were from watching live play...not past games that caused the 42.8.

For all the people that insist on Lance needing to start immediately, take a gander at Justin Fields today.

What is getting sacked 7 times going to do for his development as an NFL quarterback? He definitely would have been better off just chilling on the bench today.
Justin Fields looks terrible.

I thought you guys told me all of these dudes could come in and be better than Jimmy.

All im saying is that his rating at 1pm was 42. Thats all. Whats the controversy. Thats his rating. Maybe it will be higher after the game. Or maybe lower. Or maybe the same. We ll find out soon enough.í

The kind of game he's having is the kind of game that destroys the confidence of young QBs. Sacked 7 times, hit on nearly every single dropback. If the Bears goal is to ruin him completely, they're off to a great start.

He's being thrown into a dumpster fire. Trey would be doing better. He's on a super bowl caliber team with a great scheming head coach

GGrounding the ball without a turnover or penalty to avoid a loss is impressive to me

Now Lawrence throws a boneheaded pick 6. These teams can afford these mistakes, well I'm not sure about Chicago, but we cannot.
