He can throw some jaw droppers, that's for sure. Just needs to clean up some mechanics.

As for Fields, I think he'll be good. But the fact is, and I'm sure I'm going to get called a racist for this since that's how this forum goes, but Fields was sometimes, in comparison to Trey, a slow blinker — kind of like Jimmy. Trey is more advanced going through progressions, seeing the open guy and pulling the trigger. Aka "processing," recent dog whistle aside.

And from what I've seen, few things improve LESS than these traits. Accuracy rarely improves as well, but physical skills are easier to improve if you have the right attitude. And Trey appears to have that attitude.

EA Sports better be paying him for that.

Please Trey, don't shame yourself by associating with that train wreck of a game... except for money .

They're all getting paid for it, just like all the first rounders were pimping their instant trading cards.
Just watched the bts of the 49ers draft video and it looks like Trey's locker space is between Ward and Verrett.

You can watch Kap in college and watch Lance and see what they were asked to do and clearly see they are not the same player.

I'll bet money if he was white you wouldn't say Kap at all...it's a lazy stale comp.

Absolutely do not bring that BS white vs black b******t in here. Leave that out of sports.

And his body type height speed and frame does look like kaep. Between the ears remains to be seen but he absolutely has the same build

I'm not seeing it at all. Lance is sturdier looking. Kap always looked like a toned muscle on a stick. They certainly don't move the same way, either. Kap had those deer like long strides.

And in terms of the throwing motion, not even close to the same.

Lastly, in terms of between the ears, it's not about raw intelligence, it's about football IQ. Both are smarter than average — MINIMUM — in terms of normal intelligence, although Trey seems to be on another level. But Trey was calling protections at the line as a freshmen. He is far more advanced than Kap was coming out.

Anyway, I won't accuse you of racial bias based on this take alone, but I WILL accuse you of not doing your homework on this, or not having a very experienced eye for these things. Because there is very little that Kap and Trey have in common visually. It's only in very top level abstractions that they are similar (both strong arms, both are mobile, that sort of thing).

Geez, 88 didn't bring up race, 85 did.

Oh, and I agree 100% their body types are NOT the same. Not even close.
After watching his 2020 game again you could tell he was trying too hard IMO. He was forcing balls and not playing within the offense. He took over the game with his legs (which probably won't happen in the NFL so much) and he settled in during the second half.

Yup I did...it a common lazy BS comp take that annoys the s**t out of me (not saying you said it).

He seems like more of an alpha to me than Alex Smith was coming out, which bodes well for his development. Alex's gonads did eventually drop, though. I think the Eagles "We Want Carr" game is when he finally became a man.

1. The pass rush look like it disrupted the timing.

2. It was just a good read by Peterson and he made a play on it.

A little hard on players when it was the first game of the season with no OTA's, half ass TC with no Preseason.

Yeah, especially because it's 100% false. They don't even remotely look alike, not how they're built, how they move, or how they play.

This angle doesn't show it, but Bourne was open BY SEVERAL YARDS until the ball hung up. It was a TERRIBLE throw.

What? He stepped up into a wide open pocket...you're not getting a cleaner pocket then that in the NFL. He under threw it plan and simple. Bad throw

Him and Kap are nothing alike as players. Lance is a much more well rounded qb prospect.
Their only similarities are their activist side. Get ready for that. He went all out on it during his 1 game this year.

Only ridiculous snow flakes get offended that a player is socially conscious. And they oddly never seem to care when guys like JJ Watt do it. Wonder why.
