Yet, no one can succinctly answer the question "why do the 49ers have a better chance of winning when Jimmy plays than when Trey plays?".

So 2021 is lost because Kyle really wants to make Jimmy look as good as possible in order to get a return in trade for him. 2022 is lost because that will be the year for Trey to take his lumps and learn the position at the NFL level. These are the years that players like Bosa are peaking, and will be lost to Kyle's QB situation. Infuriating.

Then that is even more reason to go with Lance. Part of it is in the off-season that was the plan, so Jimmy got the VAST majority of first team reps. Which hurt Lance's development for sure.

Trey just isn't ready yet. He needs to sit the year and learn. If he was ready he would be out there. Yeah it sucks, but Jimmy gives us the best chance to win doesnt matter if you hate jimmy it is what it is. I want him out there too just like everyone. But if we rush him out it there's a chance it will ruin him

He didn't even look good in that cupcake offense. I doubt we will ruin him by letting him play.
