2. It was just a good read by Peterson and he made a play on it.

A little hard on players when it was the first game of the season with no OTA's, half ass TC with no Preseason.

What? He stepped up into a wide open pocket...you're not getting a cleaner pocket then that in the NFL. He under threw it plan and simple. Bad throw

So no then, the pass rush didn't throw off the timing?? If patting the ball throws off the timing between the QB and Receiver, don't you think side-stepping pass rush would??

Yeah, especially because it's 100% false. They don't even remotely look alike, not how they're built, how they move, or how they play.

Nope not at all, Middlekauff was talking about It the other day and said it's a joke to compare the two. Just lazy and dumb, I don't ever want to bring race up, but it's just annoying to constantly see stupid comps and it's based off what they "look like" Lance is just as much Allen/Herbert when it come to talent.

Absolutely do not bring that BS white vs black b******t in here. Leave that out of sports.

And his body type height speed and frame does look like kaep. Between the ears remains to be seen but he absolutely has the same build

Oh I'll bring it up...again if he was white there wouldn't be a single Kap comp. they don't play the position the same at all. It's a piss poor comp.

Why not Wentz? Why not Herbert? Why not Tannehill?

Most comps I've seen from actual analysts have been Josh Allen. Hoping those on this board comparing him to Kaep are a result of lazy ignorance due to the fact he is such a strong runner. Really hope it's not about race.

They don't even attack defenses on the ground the same way. Kap was a burner who beat people with speed. Lance is niftier with his feet and more of a power runner (of course he's also fast, but not Kap fast).

It's just a bad comp all around.

Geez, 88 didn't bring up race, 85 did.

Yup I did...it a common lazy BS comp take that annoys the s**t out of me (not saying you said it).

That's what I said.

There is a difference between actual NFL comparisons and people saying who a certain player reminds them of.

he stepped up into the pocket and once again didn't even step into his throw....it wasn't some timing route Bourne was just running to the back corner of end zone... It was under thrown.

Maybe it's because he was the only other dual threat qb the niners have ever had with a strong arm? Probably normal to compare him with a familiar qb. Just a thought...

Steve young says hi...but you know

I was gonna say something, but really, Steve certainly had better than average arm strength, top 10-12ish, but he was never in the Favre/Elway/George club. Accuracy-wise though, he was in the Brees club.

Madden generation.

Mac Jones fans before the draft be like "These kids who wanna draft a dual threat QB just wanna play Madden "

EA Sports better be paying him for that.

Please Trey, don't shame yourself by associating with that train wreck of a game... except for money .

They're all getting paid for it, just like all the first rounders were pimping their instant trading cards.

Whew, good to know. Hopefully they get his face right in the game. Ngl though, the game pisses me off, but with Trey in it I'm gonna play it.

I didn't say it was a timed route, I said don't you think it would've thrown off the timing between the two?? Regardless of stepping up or not Jimmy side stepped the pass rush and disrupt the timing between the two. How is that not even being considered is beyond me.

He could have thrown it deeper in the end zone to keep Bourne's lead on the corner. He had the time to make a better pass.

It was a stop and go in which Bourne had free sailing to the stands. Jimmy could have thrown that to the back pylon and Bourne would have had a better chance.
