Dallas Cowboys QB Trey Lance Thread

I'm no longer confident that our staff can groom this guy correctly. Or even has a game plan on how to.

When I mean address narratives - you have to understand I'm making videos for a LOT more than the WZ the past couple years. That's not meant that I'm looking down on the place - it wasn't my intention when I started the video format, it just happened that it kind of went there. That's when I realized there was a much bigger world of 49ers content seekers than was here and they were interested in what I was offering. Like, I found out after about 10 videos were posted on reddit without my knowledge, that it was a big hit there - and then twitter, then some sub topics in the NFL reddit - before they temporarily banned me for posting my own content and told me I had to post 10:1 on other stuff for every single comment I made even on my own threads.

But, reddit, for example, is a community of over 158k. So, when I say, "narratives" I'm not taking a side and proving one side right or wrong. I'm gauging the interest, because once you hit certain milestones as a content creator, there is a definite incentive to make things people are interested in.

For example, after the Seattle game, I made a conscientious choice, I could review the whole game or take a look at every single throw of Trey Lance, since it was his first real game action after being the #3 Overall pick. I couldn't do both, didn't have the time. I chose Lance because I figured more people were interested in that than seeing how the defense gave up 3 TD's in the 2nd half.

Turns out, I was right. That video is my most watched video ever. Over 42k views so far. The Aiyuk video - there's been a ton of talk about Aiyuk. I knew what I was seeing on film, so I presented it because it was a topic many people were interested in. Over 22k views - my 2nd most watched video this year and like 3rd or 4th all time. My game review of the Eagles? Around 7k. So, if there's a topic of general interest among fans, I'm going to speak to it from what I see. Not from a place where I have made a judgement and then argue my point - that's where the confusion may be, at least I'm hoping it is.

That's right jd. The webzone is the smallest audience of the three media sites you mentioned (reddit, youtube, twitter). You should gauge the interest of the fanbase based off those other sites, not webzone.

Agreed Thl408.

I'm not saying JD should or should not do anything.

I know others have but that's not where I'm coming from.

I'm also not saying JD is biased so he makes videos to prove his biases…

I'm saying the videos he makes where he talks about topics and then selects videos about that topic… has implicit bias. It's the action of selecting specific clips within the full game that's biased.

I know this is true because I made a video of Solomon Thomas and selected about 15-20 plays where he got blown up in the run game or added nothing to our pass rush.

JD made the opposite video of showing his positive plays and explained what he believes ST does well.

Both videos are biased because we're not showing every snap of the full game. That's all I'm saying.

Yeah, the anything-but-Jimmy crowd has always been the massive minority yet, loudest, most aggressive and most angry.

Don't worry JD. I'm sure they'll keep that same energy when all the same team issues arise with Trey too.

This crowd doesnt exist. Period.
Jonnydel in a video: "Jimmy makes a great throw here."

Some posters: "OMG you are so biased! That was the worst throw I've ever seen in my life! Since you love JG so much, why don't you marry him!"

As far as issues with you, I'm not the only one Jonny..there are others here who question your intentions. Which is sad really.

I said it years ago, I appreciate what you bring to the forum... but with that comes responsibility no? Even before Jonnydel, we had other posters breaking down games in threads (Oldman, who later changed his name to Mr.Mcgibblets...God knows who he is now). He showed his bias for Alex and would blame everyone but him in his breakdowns.

I don't think that's right. I don't like politicians, Religious leaders, Influencers, etc who take advantage of the trust they build up from a group...to sway what they think, what they see with their eyes.

So no, it ain't only you Jonny.... there will be someone else after you, and I'll call that person out if I notice they are not being consistent.

"Sad really"? LMAO. If I'm just being a politician to build trust to sway a couple hundred people on an internet forum I'm one if the saddest individuals alive. Dude, you're putting wayyyy too much stock in what people will feel about how people on an internet forum think of them.

I'm not changing the way I do things to satisfy a small group of people in the webzone. Mods on reddit have reached out and make sure my stuff gets tagged, "quality content" because, in their words, I have the fairest content they've seen.

But, in the WZ, "YOU'RE JUST BIASED".

I know you know this so I'm strawmanning a bit here, but I don't think it's reasonable to expect someone who isn't doing this for a living to show every snap of the game at some acceptable level of depth. The only person out there who can do that is Greg Cosell and that's because he paid strictly to do that, and he has to juggle 32 NFL teams. Baldinger sort of does as well but he's got way more stuff to do in addition to his breakdowns so he can't dedicate that time.

i dont think you understand severity of trey's knee injury, they dodged a huge bullet that it wasn't worse. they're gonna take it easy on him.

Do you understand the severity of Trey's knee injury? Do you have access to information about his diagnosis that no one else does?

It is a Pretty Big Injury according to official sources.

You're joking right? Guys like Bama, AJ, Jose, Jeepzilla, and several others constantly throw out personal attacks. It wasn't until thl started cracking down a bit that they took it down a notch. Lmao

I don't believe anyone has put all of our Issues on JG?. Even though, he's a big part of the problem.

It's MCL. The best of the injuries if you must have a leg related issue. 2 to 2.5 weeks and most likely no worries for long term.

Now this Zack Wilson injury that just occurred. That's a weird one. Did they say BCL? One I wasn't familiar with but that could be 5 to 6 weeks and that can cause long term affects when back. It could linger and linger.

So Trey should be fine. i still predict that this will be Jimmy's last game as a 9er (unless an injury occurs). Like I said in another thread, DVR and save the game. It may be worth something some day . And Jimmy in on Halloween in the beginning and Jimmy out on Halloween final. How ironic.

Maybe Jimmy can wear a Trey Halloween mask. Awesome!
