With that said, I won't pretend that I was on board with trading Jimmy in the offseason and going with a vet + Trey. I definitely argued with NY about that as well. Overall I didn't think this was a SB team (had us 10-7 in the PYWLwhatever thread) but I thought we could be very competitive and you never know what happens in the playoffs.

And with all the crap I've given Jimmy over the past year and a half, I still believed he can be good in this offense and was kinda hoping 2 years removed from his ACL he would return to that 2017 form. With all these weapons on offense, I figured there's no way he can suck...Ya injuries have played a part again, but he's been playing very poorly outside of the Lions game.

Now obviously I was wrong, and we definitely should've traded Jimmy and gone with a vet like Minshew. I doubt he would be doing any worse than Jimmy has...And at least you get Trey more ready, which should be the focus 100% going forward because I don't see us making the playoffs anymore.

I really wasn't for or against Jimmy being here...I understood all of it, my main point was you can not pay him what you're paying him. The team was not good enough to pay a avg often injured QB top 5 money in 2021. I think we all can agree with that now.

Everyone thought best case scenario and trading him for a million picks after the season... No one was really being logical about it and realizing there was never a real market for him and he was more than likely gonna be cut after this season. Fans value their own players more than the rest of the league does.

Whatever now...they made their bed with Jimmy. He's gonna be the starter until we're completely out of the playoffs, then what Kyle is gonna toss Lance out there with a bunch of guys that know they're out of it? great.

It's like someone declared Jimmy as stud status.

Ya, you lol!

up until we drafted Lance and then then you did a 180 on Jimmy

Should've traded him after the SB

I was high on Jimmy in '17, like the rest of the goddamn sheep. I have since dumped him - since the Super Bowl.

dude...took like 10 sec to find lol

I mean I didn't want Flacco, gross. That said Flacco for $5 bucks or Jimmy at $27M.

Is Jimmy really playing that much better to justify the cap difference? s**t give me minshew for a conditional 2022 6th rd pick. He has two yrs left on his deal and really isn't that bad at all.

20 starts with the s**tty Jags he completed 63% of his balls, threw for 5,600 yards 37/11 TD/INT 93 OB rating

Oh hell yes I'd take Minshew in a heartbeat. Dude is a better version of Baker Mayfield

Baker is a better athlete and has legit high level nfl arm strength. Minshews gun is on the lower end of arm strength and he's not much of an athlete. Moxie Minshews got but he's already hit his ceiling and it's not very good.

I don't agree with that because we had no one even remotely as good. Only if we'd have signed Brady. And did he have that trade clause for that season?

You should go back and look at NY and I's Patrick Mahomes argument pre 2017 draft.

NY doesn't like to remember that one.

That might be the reason he wanted Justin Fields or Trey Lance over Mac Jones.

No you didn't. You dumped him at the end of last season when they traded for the third pick and they started looking at Lance. Before then Jimmy was always "your boy"

I really don't see a huge difference in this clip, and I watched it about 30 times looking at all the little things. Jimmy has a good arm. And his release is elite. It's day and night compared to Treys.

I knew what I was seeing on film, so I presented it because it was a topic many people were interested in. Over 22k views - my 2nd most watched video this year and like 3rd or 4th all time. My game review of the Eagles? Around 7k. So, if there's a topic of general interest among fans, I'm going to speak to it from what I see. Not from a place where I have made a judgement and then argue my point - that's where the confusion may be, at least I'm hoping it is.

The poster was just trying to tell you that anytime a video -- from ANYONE -- is based on making or defeating a narrative,...it's biased.

In fact,...that's literally the definition of bias. It has zero to do with your actual content and who likes it and agrees and who doesn't.

Making, say, a 5 worst play/5 best play video is literally the definition of trying to be objective. 8 best and 2 worst wouldn't,....nor would the 2 best and 8 worst. Another attempt at objectivity would be covering scoring/turnover drives. Jus ta couple examples.

Another example,...a defense team vs. a prosecutor,....both are going to have bias in the cases they make. I mean hell,...their entire job is based around being biased. That b word doesn't imply whether they're truth tellers, liars, good, bad, etc.,...lol.

I mean,...this is a really simple premise where there's no way around it and we make it hard on here and argue about it for no reason.

As the poster said,...make whatever kind of videos you want. The only issue here is the negative connotation you are attaching to the word bias,...even though you've said from the beginning that the purpose of them was to be biased towards a case you were making.

Don't worry JD. I'm sure they'll keep that same energy when all the same team issues arise with Trey too.

This crowd doesnt exist. Period.

You might want to sign up for a Twitter account. But the same crowd is also the anything-but-Mac crowd too.

Mac is a Patriot quarterback for at least 3 to 4 more seasons. Either you have alot of new red, white, and blue apparel on your shopping list to go buy,...or it's time to move on.
