OK well several weeks ago Steve Young said Trey should just be the starter already and now he says the Niners need to be patient with him (which I agree). I love Steve as much as the next guy but dang, he may have been hit in the head one too many times.

He's a moron - don't listen to him.

He like the rest of us didn't know just how raw and unprepared Trey was going to be for his first start.

I don't know how anyone that follows the Niners even remotely closely could not know that….Trey was the rawest high pick QB, I think he started 1 game in the last 300 days before starting for us. The question no one can answer is will he be a mentally strong qb who gets thrown into the fire before he's ready or will we break him?

Or maybe he didn't consider the locker room and was unaware of how raw Trey was at the time? Steve Young passed the Bar. That man is smart as hell. Some 49er fans, maybe not so much.
For example, while Steve recently said we should "be patient," he also said he wants to see Trey under duress and that "I don't know that we're going to know more unless we get tested now."
In other words his most recent statement was highlighting the pros and cons of each position. But that's too complex for some 49er fans to understand.

I knew what I was seeing on film, so I presented it because it was a topic many people were interested in. Over 22k views - my 2nd most watched video this year and like 3rd or 4th all time. My game review of the Eagles? Around 7k. So, if there's a topic of general interest among fans, I'm going to speak to it from what I see. Not from a place where I have made a judgement and then argue my point - that's where the confusion may be, at least I'm hoping it is.
The poster was just trying to tell you that anytime a video -- from ANYONE -- is based on making or defeating a narrative,...it's biased.
In fact,...that's literally the definition of bias. It has zero to do with your actual content and who likes it and agrees and who doesn't.
Making, say, a 5 worst play/5 best play video is literally the definition of trying to be objective. 8 best and 2 worst wouldn't,....nor would the 2 best and 8 worst. Another attempt at objectivity would be covering scoring/turnover drives. Jus ta couple examples.
Another example,...a defense team vs. a prosecutor,....both are going to have bias in the cases they make. I mean hell,...their entire job is based around being biased. That b word doesn't imply whether they're truth tellers, liars, good, bad, etc.,...lol.
I mean,...this is a really simple premise where there's no way around it and we make it hard on here and argue about it for no reason.
As the poster said,...make whatever kind of videos you want. The only issue here is the negative connotation you are attaching to the word bias,...even though you've said from the beginning that the purpose of them was to be biased towards a case you were making.
What narratives are his videos making or trying to defeat?

Actually don't know if he literally said that or not. I've seen him say Trey was "awesomely raw" and that when he saw him that he wanted to see more. I never heard/seen him say definitively that he needs to be the starter. Maybe I missed it.

He's just stating the obvious - now, he saying be patient with him, after saying he should be starting.

Yeah, every time I've read Steve's comments I see a guy thinking and speaking carefully and trying to look at/analyze the whole picture. Even Jerry Rice to in a different way and to a lesser extent.
But that goes over the head of a lot of people who only listen to/take out of something that's said what they want to and typically lined up with what they already believe.

There is a world of difference in velocity in those throws...Jimmy has a moon ball that literally goes off the screen. Lance throws a rope.

I could careless about his release at this point. Means nothing if you can't see the field well, aren't accurate, and refuse to throw it downfield. chad pennington had a quick release.
