yes exactly

Yes because he has the arm strength to make every throw...how is that hard to grasp?

Oddly enough he doesn't throw darts. He anticipates his WR speed and throw's a gorgeous rainbow in stride which is super easy to catch. That requires strength, but also shows intelligence because a lot of these guys just throw missiles. I don't understand how so few QB have this touch these days.

When QBs make accurate deep passes, you think wow. But when you see a soccer player do it with their foot, it seems even more amazing. Wilson with his soft deep passes is just as amazing. You really have to be a confident QB to try to pull that off. He throws it so early in the route.

Probably because the draft process highly rewards arm strength. A guy with a cannon gets overdrafted and a guy with touch tends to get underdrafted imo. Often in high school and college you can succeed by seeing open receivers and putting it on them. In the NFL, speed is such that you can't do that you have to anticipate coverages and throw prior to receivers even making their breaks. A guy with a cannon can skate buy on his arm strength without bothering to develop all the other subtle skills like looking off a safety, etc.

Good point!

Hang in there, kid - you'll be back in there shortly.

I knew what I was seeing on film, so I presented it because it was a topic many people were interested in. Over 22k views - my 2nd most watched video this year and like 3rd or 4th all time. My game review of the Eagles? Around 7k. So, if there's a topic of general interest among fans, I'm going to speak to it from what I see. Not from a place where I have made a judgement and then argue my point - that's where the confusion may be, at least I'm hoping it is.

The poster was just trying to tell you that anytime a video -- from ANYONE -- is based on making or defeating a narrative,...it's biased.

In fact,...that's literally the definition of bias. It has zero to do with your actual content and who likes it and agrees and who doesn't.

Making, say, a 5 worst play/5 best play video is literally the definition of trying to be objective. 8 best and 2 worst wouldn't,....nor would the 2 best and 8 worst. Another attempt at objectivity would be covering scoring/turnover drives. Jus ta couple examples.

Another example,...a defense team vs. a prosecutor,....both are going to have bias in the cases they make. I mean hell,...their entire job is based around being biased. That b word doesn't imply whether they're truth tellers, liars, good, bad, etc.,...lol.

I mean,...this is a really simple premise where there's no way around it and we make it hard on here and argue about it for no reason.

As the poster said,...make whatever kind of videos you want. The only issue here is the negative connotation you are attaching to the word bias,...even though you've said from the beginning that the purpose of them was to be biased towards a case you were making.

What narratives are his videos making or trying to defeat?

Ask him. He's said that's the purpose of his videos. Straight from the horse's mouth.

Yeah, the anything-but-Jimmy crowd has always been the massive minority yet, loudest, most aggressive and most angry.

Don't worry JD. I'm sure they'll keep that same energy when all the same team issues arise with Trey too.

This crowd doesnt exist. Period.

You might want to sign up for a Twitter account. But the same crowd is also the anything-but-Mac crowd too.

Mac is a Patriot quarterback for at least 3 to 4 more seasons. Either you have alot of new red, white, and blue apparel on your shopping list to go buy,...or it's time to move on.

Unless you were born today, you've clearly missed the hottest thread in the WZ leading up to the Trey Lance pick (and after).

But thanks for chiming in. LOL

He's a Patriot now,...and no one on the forum caused that to happen.

If you want people here to fawn over another player,...let it be and up and coming FA or something. This dude is locked in over there. It's pretty much confusion on which team you're really rooting for at this point.

Everybody needs to get off jonnydel's back. If you don't like what he puts out, ignore it.

All opinions posted here (with words, not videos) are fair game. None of these...

Fair enough, I still don't like people getting on him, though.

Just putting this out here... if the initial speed behind a throw remains constant, higher arc does not always make it go further. Range = v^2 *sin(2a)/g, where v is speed and a is angle. If v is constant, the furthest horizontal distance the ball goes is when the angle of release is 45 degrees. If you go either higher or lower, the distance is less.

I knew that

Edit- just noticed others have responded to your arguments with pics as well in another thread, but in a negative sense.

Yeah I'm just joking with this one. Thanks for the heads up.

Which one? Being called a nerd doesn't bother me, even if maliciously. I surely hope you don't mean they claim footballs don't follow the projectile motion equations.

I agree. Everyone is going to be bias to some degree. Good thing there is more than one person on youtube breaking down film so that we can watch multiple videos and come to our own conclusions. Which by the way are bias also.

Yep. Depends on what you want. If you want a 49ers' fan's perspective, there are few better than jonny. If you prefer outsiders perspectives, JTO is great, Tim Jenkins is great. Kurt Warner does some stuff. Lots of good people out there.

Yea. Lot of folks to choose from. I like that Kyle Posey too.
