Probably wondering why his dumbass coach called nothing but running plays for him but actually calls a gameplan for JG.

Probably because he's not remotely ready for a full game plan. Have you watched him play?

Have you watched him play? Sure he had a couple innaccurate throws and a couple of plays where he left the pocket too early. He also scanned the field on some plays going through his progression getting to his 3rd and 4th read. He also made some damn good throws into tight coverage. He also had a few crucial 3rd down passes dropped. Overall, he was fine in his first start and looked capable of running the offense. He just lacks experience at this point.

What offense was he running in that game?

Chances of Trey seeing the field again this year, even if it is only situational, is very likely. Jimmy does enough on his own to mess up his performances. Unless you're talking about Trey taking td's from him than maybe you are right. But Trey didn't seem to throw off Jimmy's rhythm in either the DET game nor the GB game. They are the only two games that Trey took snaps that were not because Jimmy was injured.

SSee I'm I'm going to go the other way on this because it's obvious at this point that hopscotching quarterbacks saying stupid things like I guess I'll be starting Jimmy next week are hurting Jimmy's performance in a significant and avoidable way. Somehow Kyle thought he was going to be cute Mr head coach and get the best performance out of both players by playing them against each other. Then he found out why no coaches done this in 70 years. Light bulb! The more we flip flop tray and Jimmy the worse our chances are of getting in the playoffs it can't be any simpler. The situational stuff needs to cool out until we get a rhythm and Jimmy is used to winning games again. Then maybe we go back to it if he gives permission. Once in a while.

If who gives permission? You mean Jimmy? Yea. I'm sure Kyle needs to get Jimmy's approval first.

We absolutely need to kiss his butt peel his grapes and have kyle john jed and trey get in front of his rikshaw to reach the promised land this year.

I no joking senor.

I can see you and gore attended the same psychology class as kyle in college.

The way I see it, Jimmy has no leverage really. His best course of action is to play his ass off the rest of this season so he can convince a potential playoff contender to offer him a decent contract next year.

Yea, jimmy has to eat s**t and like it. Thats a good point. I think thats how most coaches treat their starting qbs who play the hardest position in sports. With irascible disdain and impatient judgementalism. What twerp wouldnt want to perform in that environment?

Thsnks for setting me straight.

Don't be so dramatic. The NFL is a business and businesses are cut throat. Jimmy has been well rewarded with the contract that he signed. I'm sure he wasn't dumb enough to spend it all and should be set for the rest of his life.
What's the word on Trey? Hoping we take it slow with him no need to rush him back. He's got a lot of years ahead if we don't roll dice with his health. Besides I feel Arizona already has a handle on shutting down the Trey package.

Sounds so logical and clear headef. I take a lot of money from you", and I shall do what you desire my liege.

Yet every time Jimmy is asked about the situation with Trey, he answers by saying "it is what it is" So you can tell how enraptured he is with the situation.

Maybe in August there was some ambiguity about whether or not Trey would contribute this year. That wishful thinking fell off a cliff by September. Yet we really haven't changed our tone with Jimmy. And that's just not smart. If it was ever Smart to begin with to publicly humiliate your starting quarterback the way Lynch and Shanahan have done with Jimmy

He's right in a sense. When you have a FQB, you don't treat him like that. But he's under the impression that Jimmy is still a FQB and we drafted Trey to be a career backup for him. So once that QB has one foot out the door, there's no point in trying to please them anymore.

But his is another Jimmy excuse added to list on why he's performing poorly this year. Rodgers is an even worse situation and he's still going out there and giving it his all.

Jimmy very well could be someone else's backup next year.

LOL thanks for the laugh
I really love what Steve Young said during tonight's pregame show. The question to the team was is it better to start or red shirt a rookie QB.

Steve, as he has stated before, not every situation is different. It's all the same. If your good enough you will claw your way out. It's the same situation for all. He said he learned more from his first 2-14 season as a QB then any other. The season sucked but he knew he belonged and that was the most important lesson. He knew he could be an NFL QB despite the horrible first season.

When asked about potential injury for inexperienced player he said then don't play football. Go find another day job.

I completely agree and happy Jimmy played well yesterday but really ready for this situation to be bedded. Let Trey "claw" himself out. Take the lumps. Tell himself I will be an NFL QB with success and let's roll.
