He's less fast than Kaepernick. Keep it in perspective. He's here to throw.

He seems to have a really solid foundation around him. That's huge.

Yeah, I dug his folks in the clip. Especially when his mom emphasized goals instead of wishy-washy stuff. The kid's got the tangibles and intangibles. Now, it's time for Kyle to help him unleash all of it.

I didn't say it was a timed route, I said don't you think it would've thrown off the timing between the two?? Regardless of stepping up or not Jimmy side stepped the pass rush and disrupt the timing between the two. How is that not even being considered is beyond me.

Dude it was massively under thrown plan and simple. You say it's not a timing route yet your argument is it disrupted the timing of the throw?

Like he always does he doesn't step into his throw and missed....it's as simple as that. NFL QBs have to be able to make that throw

To me, he tried to put some touch on it to drop it in there and just took too much off. It was a miss. It happens.

Hypothetical situation: We didn't draft Lance and chose another one of the QBs with #3. What pick would Lance have gone and to what team?

Falcons at 4, or too either one of the Panthers or Broncos in a possible trade up.

You don't think the Falcons were locked in on Pitts at #4?

Allbright said if you want Lance you will have to move to 3, he also said Denver loved Lance

Who are these people???. They need 👁 implants. This dude is gonna be handing off to himself on 3d and short and the goal line.🤣. He'll call his protections then blast out on a boot and either hit a second or 3d window at 55 yards or just keep it and truck corners. Wish the Kap Shlit would stop. This dude's top end is faster than LJ's

LOL times the 49ers pocket has ever looked like that.

1. The pass rush look like it disrupted the timing.

2. It was just a good read by Peterson and he made a play on it.

A little hard on players when it was the first game of the season with no OTA's, half ass TC with no Preseason.
This angle doesn't show it, but Bourne was open BY SEVERAL YARDS until the ball hung up. It was a TERRIBLE throw.

A wobbly underthrown pass.
That is what a Jones pass will look like.😕

Yes it happens and it was an under throw...that's the difference between winning and losing a game.

Sure, but every QB in the history of football has missed a throw that cost them a game.

It was a bad game all around by the entire team. The defense gave up two leads in the 4th quarter.

I don't know that he is, but if he is....its not a whole hell of a lot.

The whole point of the clip was based on a poster commenting on Lance having a clean pocket while making a ridiculously accurate throw in the EZ. He then said show me when we ever had a clean pocket like that....so I did.

End of the day it was a horrible throw, in a clean pocket, which would have won us the game...is what it is.

at this point I don't care enough about Jimmy to have a long drawn out debate on him. Hope he plays well and we win some games. Hope he gets traded and does well elsewhere.

Lance said he's been getting laser 40 times around 4.51 (97th percentile) and Kap ran a 4.53, but Kap was like 5/6lbs bigger. Both are plenty fast.
Funny how the Beck tie was a massive reason fans linked Trey to the 49ers saying the 9ers suggested it for he and Fields and not Mac.

I said at the time, I had heard Trey did it on his own and got push back here for it (naturally).

But given he did it on his own is MORE of a reason they ended up liking him most in the end. Smart kid. Smart move.

From the front page:

General manager John Lynch offered some clarification over the weekend. The 49ers didn't insist Lance work with Beck at all. The former North Dakota quarterback had an early first pro day and was training in Los Angeles with his former teammate, Easton Stick. That's when he started working with Beck. A week later, on March 26, San Francisco traded up to No. 3.

As soon as the trade happened, Lance scrambled to set up a second pro day, knowing that he might be among the 49ers' options. It made sense to work again with Beck because of the coach's familiarity with Shanahan and his system. Lynch said the 49ers did not insist Lance work with Beck.

"Yeah, that wasn't the case," Lynch told Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated over the weekend. "So, there are some things there. I went to high school with Tom House's daughter. Kyle's got to know Tom well through Matt Ryan because Matt saw him and Kyle took the time to go out there as a coach, and he met John Beck. But that's not our business to tell people, 'Hey, go here.' And I know that was a big narrative.

"Sometimes people will say, 'Hey, what will he do?' and we'll say we've had good success here. But I can tell you, John's opinion mattered a lot to us, and so did [Lance's previous trainer, Quincy Avery]'s. I talked to Quincy, and he was a tremendous resource—he's been around Trey a lot. So I'm appreciative to both of them."
Which training wheel offense would you prefer?

Trey Lance which will be limited due to inexperience

OR

Jimmy G which will be limited due to physical skills and talent

Give me the Trey Lance offense all day
