Macs looked good. Not great imo. The pats are 4-4. That's right where we thought they'd be with Mac. They have a great OC in McDaniels and obviously great HC. None of what's happening there should be surprising. If the Pats were 6-2 or 7-1 with Mac, yea maybe I'd readdress him. He's a good QB. We have a good QB imo in Jimmy. We shot for the stars in Lance. Don't throw egg in our faces if he doesn't work out. We trust Kyle. You clearly don't. It's really getting to be toxic.
I think he ended up in the right spot for his skill set. Belichick will probably get whatever is to be gotten out of him. I also seem to recall reading somewhere that he said he wasn't all that keen on the idea of going to SF. I can pretty honestly say that I don't spend a single second thinking about players we "should" have drafted or signed. It doesn't bother me that Mahomes went to Kansas City or that Jones went to New England or that the Rams got Stafford. I prefer to root for the team we have not the team we might have had if this that or the other thing had happened. When Lance is ready to start, I'll be rooting for him to succeed and not worrying about what Mac Jones is doing.
It sucks that they have had so many setbacks this year but I was thinking last night how cool it will be if they can build off the Chicago win and put together a winning streak of their own and really climb back into the playoff picture instead of just being mathematically alive. Being kind of a blue collar guy in my own right, the idea of knuckling down and getting the job done over the next 8 weeks holds a lot of appeal. Next two games will be huge though, especially the Rams. I think we pretty much had Goff's number but Stafford has really shown up to play. The defense will definitely have to do their part. Hopefully this new pass rusher will help. Go Niners!
