Big L O L at people thinking we made the wrong choice by drafting Trey over Mac after only 8 games. I, too, remember foolishly assuming that Jimmy G was the next HoF Niner QB after his first 5 games with us.

Not bettin the farm om it.
You ought to. His game in Arizona and half a game in Seattle was not even that much worse than Jimmy has done for most of the quarters he's played this season. If you artificially restrict it to pocket passing, he's a lot further behind. But he was moving the ball against the best team in the league despite penalty after penalty after penalty backing the offense up. And yes, his scrambling ability was part of why, and it's why he is in fact NOT that far behind Jimmy at all, in terms of the offense moving the ball.
I liked a lot of what I saw but he will be constantly injured of the game plan doesn't change for him.
RJIII pt 2 would suck.

your saying he has to run to be successful . not why we got him. fast track to icu since our genius qb development plan doesn't include teaching how to slide. Im ok with 2023. As long as we have a qb who can win in kyles system. doesn't have to be jimmy, though hes the most practical choice.

Me, too - Jones is a game manager. Trey is a playmaker.

Trey will be ready with ONE off-season of getting all the first team reps.

Tough week for the anything-but-Jimmy and anything-but-Mac crowds. Ouch.
However, it's been a great year for them and a very tough one for those who thought Jimmy was a franchise QB or that we would take Jones.
Nope. Everyone already knew pre draft Garoppolo was a lame duck QB this year and Jones is already light years better than the mobile QB's. But that too was expected.
There are people here who believe Trey will be traded next year and Jimmy extended.
You gotta be kidding me.
I'm gonna need to see evidence of that. We could all use the LOL's.
I mean maybe the person I remember saying something like that doesn't believe it anymore. It was months ago (and I don't remember who it was, but I know it was one of the people whose Jimmy following is more of a, shall we say, cult following.
Whomever said that would have to be either a family member or cult leader.
I have some Kool Aid for you NC. Just take a sip. All will be fine. Trust me

That's what happens when you drink the kool aid for so many years and think that Alex was a FQB, or Tomsula was gonna be a great coach, or Jimmy is our FQB... you turn into a bitter fan later.

Agree bro. Part of the reason I love this forum is for exactly that, some laughs when the season is rough and I'm too pissed off to talk to my wife and children on game days 😂
