The game is done and I can confidently say there's a gaping chasm between Trey and Jordan Love. Love looks terrible and barely functional as an NFL QB.
Jordan Love looked like a rookie today going against a bad defense, but we've been told that's impossible since he sat for a season and a half and that's the same as playing.
Shanahan is not starting trey at all. Keeping him on the bench delays ownership and the fan base from further discovering how truly s**tty he is as a coach. I have no f**king clue how ANYONE can have any faith that Shanahan made the right pick AND is capable of developing and putting trey in the right position to succeed. I have zero faith in Shanahan.
Be ready Trey, your time will come soon!

This in a nutshell.

Then he sucks, you're just making excuses . There have been plenty of great QBs who've made mediocre to bad coaches look at least decent. Where Trey was picked and for what we gave up for him, he BETTER eventually be one of those QBs

Maybe instead of being a grand conspiracy, it's just JG is the best QB on roster for now

That too, but the season is a lost cause at this point. While it is 100 percent that Jimmy osnthe best on the roster, trey is the future. I also don't want to delay the revelation of who trey really is any longer.

Our team's gonna suck next year too, might as well play him now.

He's not ready. He has not demonstrated an ability to play. Up until now at least.

Lol if he doesn't play - he'll never be ready. Playing is how you get ready.

We have wasted 1 offseason and 3 months where we could have focused solely on developing Lance. We didn't do that.

Maybe Love is just terrible period? He was a "tools" pick. A guy who couldn't hit the broadside of the barn in college but people figured that because Josh Allen worked out, that you can draft any QB with a big arm and mobility and they'll start balling the f**k out of everyone in the NFL.

Like Hero said, Trey Lance already looks like a more natural QB than Love. How much better, who knows but for three first round picks, he better be Josh Allen.
How much longer? Obviously, we're not eliminated from the playoffs yet, so do we still wait for that moment? I know Trey won't come in and save our season, he won't even be that great, but I'd like to at least start seeing improvements somewhere, rather than this. If he can get in there and get reps, maybe he can gain enough to know what his offseason focus needs to be and next year we can have something to be excited for?

He doesn't even know the play book. He can't throw an accurate pass.
