How much longer? Obviously, we're not eliminated from the playoffs yet, so do we still wait for that moment? I know Trey won't come in and save our season, he won't even be that great, but I'd like to at least start seeing improvements somewhere, rather than this. If he can get in there and get reps, maybe he can gain enough to know what his offseason focus needs to be and next year we can have something to be excited for?

He doesn't even know the play book. He can't throw an accurate pass.

Yeah, besides that he's ready to start.

Well he is closer to starting then I am.

Agree. When he proves himself ready I will change my mind.

Everyday that passes he is learning more of the playbook.
He can throw an accurate pass. He has thrown plenty of accurate passes as well as some bad ones. When he can consistently throw accurate passes we will have lift off.

Must be expensive to constantly fly down from Australia and then somehow also get into 49er practices. Pretty awesome though, let us know when you and SD think he's ready, bc we don't have that access like you guys do.

Stop with the "we are still in it". On paper we are but reality we are not. We are not beating anyone significant if we couldn't even beat AZ's backup QB. AZ knew they could beat us today and it was laughable. We are going to get blown out at home again next week on Primetime TV and Shanny will say "Jimmy gives us the best chance to win". Tired of that to...just play Trey already.

Wow that makes sense. "Stick to TikTok" when I asked for your sources that Trey is ready even though by your own brilliance he can't even beat out a terrible good for nothing QB. Fantastic stuff once again "lol" man. You make sense. Tiktok whatever that has to do with anything. Tiktok

Hard to "beat out" a good for nothing QB when that QB gets every damn rep with the starters for the last 6 months.

There was NEVER a competition, Kyle said that from day 1. Kid hasn't had a chance to prove anything to this point.

That said Jimmy wasn't the reason we lost yesterday....he played well enough to go toe to toe with Colt McCoy The defense which currently is a poor excuse for a supposed top end defensive roster got butt f**ked by a career backup QB and a backup RB.

And the offense couldn't keep up with Card's backup offense, but that's an aside. The season is shot, players are not in it, they're mostly looking beyond their 1 year contracts. It's time to give Lance quality reps.

I'm fine if we go to lance for that reason but we won't because as Kyle said he'll play Trey "when he's ready" something TikTok obviously missed Problem was getting outrushed 163-39 meanwhile Jimmy was responsible for 90% of the offense. Jimmy kept up, the rest of the team didn't.

Trey shouldn't start if the 49ers win. Of course, the 49ers winning, amirite?

Shanahan is not starting trey at all. Keeping him on the bench delays ownership and the fan base from further discovering how truly s**tty he is as a coach. I have no f**king clue how ANYONE can have any faith that Shanahan made the right pick AND is capable of developing and putting trey in the right position to succeed. I have zero faith in Shanahan.

Shanahan's biggest failure is not coaching or player development. His biggest failure is repeated misses on draft picks and free agent signings. He should have ZERO power in team building. And Lynch is clearly culpable too. They need to hire someone outside the building to have final say on all roster moves. A football guy — not an analytics guy like Paraag — who is experienced and respected. Because no one there at the top knows what they're doing.

Someone call up Scot McCloughan and see if he's still drinking and snorting cocaine.
