So Jordan Love gonna need two more years on the bench to develop? Dude has gotten hardly any reps with the 1st string (just reps in general) and it looked like he hasn't played football in two yrs...it's cool though, he's just marinating on the sideline lol.

I think good football players will rise regardless of sitting or playing. But judging how this FO has evaluated this entire draft my optimism in Lance is incredibly low.

I hear you, I get the idea of Trey being young and them using the scout team to build him up mentally etc. It makes sense, but I think we need to admit this season isnt going to the playoffs... so why not get him real experience with no expectations other than go out there and learn.
If Kyle said hey this season isn't what we hoped. Lets start this kid and we all help him grow through the bumps and bruises and hopefully he can lead us going forward blah blah. I dont care if his playbook is 25% of Jimmy's. Let him grow off that and we just run the damn ball 75% of the time. The thing is you play to win so starting Trey may piss off the locker room even more? I cant see him being much worse tbh. Jimmy just isn't that good, he is so inconsistent.

Not to belabor the point, but you won't get a better look at the Mac Jones ankle twist than this one from NFL Films. You can clearly see the grab, the trip, and the roll. It's not great. pic.twitter.com/pBjUnqJ8Wc

Tap or snap, motherf**ker.
Can't believe he was stupid enough to do that. Just wait till that makes the rounds of his opponents. Your own teammates won't like you for stuff like that.

Yup. I'm all in on Trey but it's a valid concern. This FO has hit on one first round draft pick and that pick was an absolute no brainer in Bosa. McGlinchey was not worth his draft slot and the jury is still out on Aiyuk. So yea, fairly high chance Lance may not be the guy.
With that said, watching the niners play right now is such a waste of time. Give the fans something to look forward to while also getting Trey some real experience. Play the damn kid already!

Yup I'm all for playing Lance just to add some sparks to this team and then losing wouldn't be as painful.

There was another play vs the Cards where once again, Trey took a 20+ yard play... instead of a play underneath... which was pointed out, that Jimmy usually takes... I'll try to find it.

Kyle may be waiting until the Niners are mathematically eliminated. Two more losses and that could do it. Lose the next two and they would need to win 6 of their last seven to get 9 wins and a chance at the playoffs. Does anyone see htis team winning 6 of the last 7 games. Not with road games against the Seahawks, Bengals, Titans and Rams.

I hate this mentality though.. why not see what Trey can do with the offense again while we're still in it?... see if it energizes the whole team.
Jimmy's offense only scored 10pts in the second half vs the Cards...and we were down hella pts. 31-7 at one point.
Vs the Cards with JJ Watt, Trey's offense (no Kittle) also scored 10pts in the second half... but it was a close game.. no off coverage.
We had many opportunities to score pts in that game... but passed on FGs...or missed at the Goal Line (Trey's fault on one).

The won't play Trey until the Niners are mathematically eliminated from even the wild card spots. That takes awhile even if they lose every week. It's too bad because common sense says they're already eliminated. Too bad Shanny doesn't go with common sense very often…

I'm glad. To me "the sky is falling let's quit on the season" is the panicked fan take. Reality says 12-5 or 3-14 are our range of outcomes this season. Lots of possibilities.

Reality says 12-5??? Not sure what your definition is reality is.
Edit: and it's not "The sky is falling take", it's a "let's start preparing for next season " take.
