Way too early to tell.
Can't wait for Lance to go through his ups and downs as a 22 yr old QB who's played minimal snaps next yr…it's gonna be a straight s**t show in here. The amount of whining is gonna be like nothing we've seen, fast forward to 2023 and I won't be surprised if those same people are eating crow.

"he needs to sit and develop for a yr"
"Jimmy is the starter and gives us the best chance to win"
"Lance sucks because he's not playing, he clearly doesn't know the playbook"

These quote come from a lot of the same posters…ya'll don't know what the f**k you want. You can't say Jimmy gives the team the best chance to win (people said this since day 1) and say Lance should red shirt to develop….THEN b***h because he's not playing, do people not get how hypocritical that is?

Its early enough to say that QBs we could have had at our Original draft position are already starters. One of which looks pretty damn decent. But he was fat, so....

Why is it apparent? Did you not listen to a word they said since day 1? He was never gonna play this yr…they paid Jimmy a TON of money to be the starter. This move wasn't about 2021 no matter how much you want to pretend it was.

And yes you are b***hing about the player who has yet to play…draft capital means nothing if he turns into the starting long-term QB and you have no clue what the results are on that yet.

Zach Wilson started Davis Mills started…neither of those guys would be starting in SF. Mac wouldn't have started in SF either. Different teams have different options and Mac was better than cam who's incapable of throwing a football anymore.

who gives a s**t what a player does on a completely different team? The situations are not the same.

We might miss out on the next Kinlaw, Thomas or McGlinchy.

Seriously … apparent to who? You I guess, but who else?

Fans without homer goggles on can see we paid way too much for Lance

There is no appreciable way for you, or anyone else, to determine that--at this point in time. I will say, though, the possibility of Lance turning into a QB who wasn't worth what the 49ers spent is not insignificant. Only time / play will tell.
Say what you want but I don't see Russel Wilson in this kid yet.

Very different players. If you're expecting RW then you are going to be disappointed.

Can I at least expect Mac Jones?

Yup, way to early to tell, but from what I've seen of him, he has good accuracy on the move. It's just a matter of reps and getting that synchronicity going with his recievers to where he can hit his receivers in the hands, not in the body. He's not just blindly scrambling after the first read, he's always looking to his second or third unless the DLine/Blitz is in his face - then he runs. Rocket arm. Great speed, and elusive too when he runs. I think his upside is through the roof. The dude is 6'4" - he shouldn't have any tipped balls at the LOS, saw too many of them, I think the OLine has to do something to bring those DLinemen's hands down on those passes. Bottom line for me, I think Kyle can make this guy a super star. If Kyle can make BDN a pretty decent backup QB, I can only imagine what Kyle can do with somebody so raw with outstanding god given talent as Trey.
Posters were b***hing and moaning all preseason that Jimmy should restructure or be traded, and that Trey should start this season because nothing replaces reps.

Only for Kyle to be like...

"Biiiiiitch sit down on the bench with Trey while Jimmy gets to work!"
