The team comes first. I'm angry because I think the 49ers made a mistake. I absolutely want him to succeed. And as I've said before, I'd be so happy if I'm wrong. And given everything invested they need to give him as much time to develop. At this point if he doesn't develop, it will be 5 years lost on this organization.

you have NO CLUE if hey made a mistake...that's the whole problem with your debate. It's pointless to say he's gonna suck or say why would he improve (which is just dumb based on how life goes in general).

I'll I'm saying is you better be able to let him develop properly and give him the benefit of the doubt just like you've done for Jimmy for the past 4 years.

I said i THINK they made a mistake. I can i have thoughts, right?

You also have no clue that they didn't make a mistake. It's all hope at this point. Nothing is certain.

One of the firsts was a swap, so really doesn't count.

I think your points are valid… it's a risky move for sure. If it pays off theyll be geniuses, if it fails they'll be fired. Let's cross them fingers and toes 👍🏻👍🏻

Exactly this. We have to hope and pray that it pans out. I know I'll be screaming at the top of my lungs if he succeeds.

But until then you'll keep telling us what a mistake it was, hate on him, and talk about how much better Mac is and we should've drafted him.

And that. I'm not even the least bit concerned about Trey. I'm excited to see his growth actually. His mechanics. His pocket awareness. His poise. There's going to be a bunch of ups/downs and he's going to "leave a lot of the field."

I hope the things he leaves out there, he learns from and we see growth the next week.

I'm probably most fascinated to see HOW Kyle constructs his game plans as well as Lynch, for what kind of personnel they bring in for him and priorities they have for him. Are they also going to bring in a backup QB will a similar skill set?

Look at kap. He never improved. He had all the intangibles. He drove to Santa clara the night of the draft because he was so motivated. He was given the keys year 2 and had ample playoff experience by year 3. Nothing improved.

I'm not saying Lance is kap, I'm saying everyone here thought kap was going to get better with time. And he never did.

Kap was not on the same page as Lance when it comes to between the ears...Kap was all about physical traits more than improving his mind/technique. If you've paid attention to the draft process and everything after that you will see that's not the case with Lance. He's just as much about the mental/technique side of playing QB as he is about the physical. You want to bring up Kap, I'll bring up Josh Allen same s**t.

I also don't think Kap was bad and overall never got a real shot after Jim left. The team and coaching was trash. Kap completed 60% of his balls, 73/20 TD/INT ratio, Y/A 7.3..I mean his stats overall aren't that much different than Lamar Jackson. Lamar is better but he's also on a MUCH better team with better coaching for his whole career.

If you believe in a player why not go all in? I mean you can just sit there and draft Solomon Thomas all the same. No pick is bullet proof. You got well respected GMs like Chris Ballard giving Lance their "blue card" during the draft process...

When we are in draft meetings, we talk about each player's football character at great length to determine if a player fits our draft board. If a player meets our strict criteria in terms of his football character, he is given a blue card.

So it wasn't just SF that thought highly of Lance

LOL. Yeah, OL is all I talked about...Pettis, started and managed the Team Information/Needs thread, injuries, Hightower, on and on and on.

If the OL effected play calling, the QB, game situations, personnel acquisitions, team needs, etc. sure, it's relevant. Tom Compton was relevant Sunday. LOL

Jimmy and his contract are gone in 5 games. He's not relevant to anything.

All I'm saying is you might want to find a new unhealthy obsession or at least focus on things that'll be relevant well after he's gone.

But...to each his own. Do you.

Oh stop it...everyone in here will agree that was your crusade forever. The OL and s**tting on it with no end in sight. It's not like those convos are gone, we all remember. That's years worth of beating the dead horse, not months. I told you to relax about it and you said you would when it's fixed...guess what I'll use your own words on this subject

And how does Jimmy and what he's worth not affect the play-calling and team overall in 2021? You brought up Compton...hmmm wonder if there was more cash available maybe just maybe we could have gotten better vet depth? Like I said it affects everything, especially this yr.

You don't get to go off for years on a subject then call someone else out and pretend you don't to the same thing...just because you don't want to discuss it doesn't mean others can't or won't. I explained what Crocky was talking about...you don't like it don't comment and move on. No one is telling you to reply.

K thanks

Nothing is certain...so what's the point in being so negative about it? He wasn't picked to be the starter in 2021. So why not save the complaining for 2022? I know you will be licking your chops to do just that.

agreed...it's an exciting time and will be very interesting to see how this team evolves

No one is going to do that with the draft capital they spent.

The expectations from the fan base will be to win with him every year.

and that's why fans are annoying and don't understand much. It's all instant gratification without understanding what it takes to get to that point. Grr draft capital, I know all those draft picks in the 1st rd have been just amazing for SF instant success for all them. How dare we give up future picks for a QB. Those guys would have been pro-bowlers no doubt.

At which point were you done with Jimmy...2018 or 2020? They weren't winning those years and he was a reason why OR did you give him 4 years before wanting him thrown to the streets?

Fans setting themselves up for failure and a lot of unneeded anger. Can't wait!

You only talked about the OL. NC shows all the other stuff he contributed too. NY...yeah but you only talked about the OL though.

You see what you want to.

But do you. You need this.

I have no idea what this comment even means...is this buzz?

But yes please pretend that you didn't talk about IOL and try to use every analytical stat to s**t on the OL for YEARS. It was all over the place. No need to act like it wasn't...we saw it not just me.

I'll I'm saying is stop being a hypocrite. Yes cap space issues in a covid year matter. Playing an avg ass QB top 5 cap space AFFECTS the whole roster. Everything trickles down from that...it's no different then your whole OL is the backbone of a offense and we go as the OL goes stuff. It's all about roster building and where money is allocated and what you should expect from those players to mask other deficiencies.

So save me the you see what you what to junk...take your own advice for once instead of pushing it on someone else.
