Why?

Because Kyle, who is infinitely more knowledgeable in QB's that fit his system than you are, says so. And, they have a plan that you're not privy too.

The fact that you didn't come up with anything else than being homer worries me.

We've had coaches before Kyle... we'll have coaches after Kyle. "QBs that fit his system"? If I described Lance to some around here a few years ago, they would have said I'm crazy and he doesn't fit Kyle's system. Hell Kyle might have said the same thing to me in 2017 when he first got here.

I don't feel it's worth trading all that draft capital for a QB who just fits a Kyle's system.... I'd want one who could fit different systems and be under different coaches and succeed. Because it's not guaranteed that Kyle is going to be around for ever.

Trey Lance has by far the best situation I can think of for a top 3 QB, maybe ever.

Now it makes sense, keeping Jimmy. Making the trade after lances pro day. Requesting he works with beck.

Kyle picked him, trust in Kyle to develop him into a possible Mahomes 2.0. He's a young guy at 20 years old. He has the time to fix his mechanics and get back into the groove of reading defenses. Kyle's job and career is on the line, he's not going to choose a QB that's more a liability to him than an asset.

Both, plus Wilson IMO, were worth the trade, Mac never made sense, it was all a smokescreen IMO, this regime doesn't let anything leak.

Pretty pumped. I was good with Fields or Lance. So relieved it wasn't Jones.
