The 49ers traded two 1sts and a 3rd. The 1st this season is 29th, which is essentially a 2nd. We just got the 3rd back for losing McDaniel. That means if we finish as a playoff contender next season, both 1sts we lost will have been late 1st round fliers. For a chance at a franchise QB, thats a no brainer. Stop acting like we destroyed our future for the Lance pick. We can get back into the 1st this year if we wanted.
Its hilarious that you, without any actual knowledge on QB's or scouting, are convinced that because he doesn't have a ton of college reps that he's automatically a bust.
Go back and watch the Texans game. If that was him with barely any snaps at QB in his life, I can't wait to see him with more reps.
This x 100000000
The draft picks we will give up are a 29th pick and easily another one in the 20's or 32nd pick. So worth it for a qb at his worst that can produce a s**tty 20 td 12 int season NOT counting:
All the rushing yards
All the rushing TDs
All the rushing first downs
All the plays he extends with his legs
All the throws deep and outside the numbers with possible Pass interference penalties or stress on a defense that has to cover more than the middle of the field.
We easily will have at the bare minimum a better qb and a healthier one too
Hello......Think McFly, Think
people really need to think before they downplay Trey when the truth is, if Trey plays like a top 15-20 qb we improve as a team and that's a SB right there
