(like Trey Lance - for example) What if they get a low first round pick for Jimmy? I think they can afford to do a trade up of that first round pick for a top tier player, specially if they don't lose a lot of their top core free agents on offense and defense. This team is not that far off from another super bowl run and there aren't many holes in the team.
I agree that the 3 positions of need are OL, DB and edge in what ever order the best in each of those categories pops up. They aren't likely to have a chance at the top tier players at those positions but they still need to be addressed. A player like Watson would be tempting but that would still leave positions of need. The only way they could move up to get him would be a trade up using a 2nd and a 3rd.

Who is saying that? It appears to be that the hype for Watson is that he's a unicorn at 6'4 and 4.36 speed.
Also short of a mental or physical problem his floor is torrey smith/sammy watkins/brandin cooks. But many are seeing/hoping for a mike evans or julio jones.
All three of those guys are 6'1 or shorter. I don't think it compares. Floor would probably be a bit worst than DJ Chark. That's a more apt comparison, really. About the same build, about the same speed.
wouldnt the floor be someone like Mims?
Yeah, but I don't know if Mims' story is completely written yet. I don't know what's going on in his life. Had some "personal issue" last year. But he's still young. There's hope for him.

Lost Verrett, Kinlaw,Dre and Ford for most of the season and lost others for parts of the season such as Eman and yet still had a top 5 defense. And those Mobile QB's didn't have the same success against us that they have in past seasons.
That's unfortunate given this was Warner's worst year by a mile. Hehe.
Hopefully he has the same effect on the opposition.

Personally, I think the improvement was Demeco. I saw a lot more Nickle with Demeco vs Saleh this year and I think it made a difference. As for linebackers, I'm a huge Warner fan. However, I think the emphasis should be #1 Defensive Line #2 Defensive Back #3 Linebackers. I think just as FB's and TE's are being phased out (or de-emphasized) generally in the NFL for 11 personnel, I think from a defensive standpoint, you do that - to a certain extent - the Linebacker position.

Trey got better throughout the year," Key said. "He gonna be a motherf--kin' dog. He gonna be a dog. Now, granted, he gonna have to make mistakes and s--t like that because he [wasn't able] to play this [past] year, but that motherf--ker gonna be a dog, though."

I recall Sizzle saying Kap was The Truth after the SB we all know how that went. I don't take anything active guys say serious they are league employees and speak accordingly. No one is gonna put TL on blast when they are angling for a new deal from the club lol.

Yea but Montana knows it all lol. Suggs wasn't wrong Kap was stupid talented he just never developed in the pocket totally…I still think Kap got a raw deal. He can play in the league but the NFL ain't touching that with a 10 foot pole.

Well part of the quote is that Kap shouldn't hang his head cuz he's going to more Super Bowls...

Well, I think in hindsight we can see that Kap was going to need to develop in the pocket, and that never happened unfortunately. Lance however, already looks much smoother in the pocket than Kap ever did, but he just needs to get on the field and develop. That is why it's important that we settle the Jimmy situation ASAP.

I agree he can play in the NFL but does he want to? All the politics kind of made him a bit untouchable. He'd be an interesting backup to Trey, but for all that non-football baggage.
