I don't know. I don't see much satisfaction in that. It's like I said in the Seahawks thread, what's the reward in beating the Seahawks without beating Wilson as well. Some people seem to be celebrating his departure from the Division but I would have much rather seen him stay so that we could try and beat his ass for the next five years. I guess it's nice to have a bunch of patsies in your division that you can beat up on every year but I would much rather the team have to earn that title then have it handed to them because none of the other teams are any good, it makes the wins more meaningful.

As long as they beat the other real good teams on the schedule along with their weak decision I don't mind them winning the division title handily.

Considering how close we've been to winning a championship playing year after year in the leagues toughest division... I couldn't care less if our division is a cake walk.

I want a super bowl win. Period.

I agree.

I will miss kicking Wilson's ass.

Hopefully we demolish him on the Broncos this year.

A win is a win is a win. Who the f*ck cares? We made it into the playoffs off a hope and a dream and had Jimmy G not started playing for the rams we would of gone to the super bowl against a team we already beat, albeit again with Jimmy playing for the other team in the 4th quarter.

You want to play the best team in the championship, on the road to the championship youll take every win you can get even if they cant even field a roster. Nobody remembers if the two best teams in the NFL played in the NFC championship, its about who won the title. Same as every other sport.

Will you really? How many times exactly did we do that?

i don't know, four weeks after the Super Bowl does anybody really care who won that game either. Certainly not this year. I means seriously, the Rams and the Bengals. People probably forgot that game the minute it was over. I may be alone in this but I thought the Seattle game where Greenlaw got the stop at the goal line was a far more satisfying win than it would have been if the Seahawks stank and we just kicked their ass all the time like we used to do with the Rams back in the day. I also like the game where Nick Mullens beat them in Seattle I think a couple years ago. I thought that was pretty cool but I can't remember if Wilson played in that game or not. Wilson and the Seahawks owned us for the decade he played for them. It would have been great to get a little bit of payback by seeing Lance develop into a player who could earn that same kind of dominance over them and not just have it handed back to us because the Hawks are rebuilding and lost all of their best players At the end of the day you can only play the teams on your schedule and a win is always better than a loss, but like I said there isn't much satisfaction in beating up on a bunch of weak teams so I hope the Division will remain competitive and not become the joke it once was.

He was 17-4 against us so it didn't happen often, but I agree the yines we did beat him were extra sweet.

It is very possible to kick a qbs ass and still lose bc the REST of the team outplays you and not the qb. Seattles defense almost always beat us. Joe Staley agrees with this sentiment. He witnessed it and spoke about it today.

Jimmy G gets his ass kicked quite a bit by opposing teams but our TEAM still wins. Jimmy G doesn't own the Packers or Rams our running game and defense does. It's not all about wins, context matters and Wilson had some of his very worst games against us. Either way I'm glad he's gone

What the huh? In favor of who? Do we even have a backup? If you're referring to Jimmy, hate to tell ya, your boyfriend is history.

I think that phrase means "cook," as in, let him play and dominant.

We had a huge rivalry with the New Orlean Saints and the Atlanta Falcons of the OLd NFC west. Jerry Glanvill and Jim Mora were thorns in Bill Walsh's side, but looking back, all I could see were the lost NFCCG's and the 5 super bowls. So I think - to a certain extent - the division rivalries aren't as important as the conference championships and super bowls. Just my opinion.
