Last i checked, Jimmy was the qb of a team that went to the nfc championship game. So yes. Yes he did.

Off topic but yes Case Keenum is carried to the NFC championship if in the same position as Jimmy last year.

I'm saying he's a backup level QB who got them to a NFCC never a day 1 starter in his "career". His stats that yr were damn near the same as Jimmy's (less INTs).

SF squeaked into the playoffs...it's not they were some dominate team this past season. They won two playoff games despite how our QB played. He avg 150 yards and a INT per game in those wins. So let's cut the s**t and be objective about what really happened.

Damn near everyone was hoping Jimmy would have gotten traded the past two months...now he's still lingering around like a bad fart and we're back to pretending he's better than he actually was and not replaceable

You see, this is something that Shanahan understood that fans who wanted trey to start Last uear never could comprehend. A veteran qb is able to provide certain characteristics necessary to go far in an NFL season. This is why Shanahan started Jimmy last year, and supported with the fact that only 3 rookie qbs ever took their team to a conference championship.

lol what vet characteristics did Case Keenum have? He played in a couple games over the course of 4 yrs prior to this. He lost more games then he won in those spot starts. He wasn't even suppose to be the starter that yr, Sam Bradford was until he got hurt.

Most rookie QBs that play meaningful snaps their rookie yr are on s**tty teams. There's context that you simply don't apply to this.

Yes it is. Yet my original point was that Trey wasn't ready last year, which posters are trying to argue

A rookie, with less than 300 passing attempts in colege, who missed his last year, who played at north dakota state, was ready to lead an NFL team to the superbowl, when no other rookie in the history of the nfl has done it.

meh his stats were on par with Big Ben this yr, Taylor Henicke, Goff, Tannehill....he's a startable NFL QB

You have no clue if he was ready or not....that's what people are arguing. You act like he was replacing some amazing QB talent which factually isn't close to true.

You don't think Lance could throw for 150 yards and a INT a game, in the playoffs? Cause that's exactly what Jimmy did in their two wins.
