Our coaches aren't even allowed to talk to him about football.

He is doing work all over, working with Tom House and John Beck. Training with Aiyuk.

He'll be ready.

He's essentially doing whatever he can to get ready. He seems to be grinder.

The takes in this thread are getting more and more unhinged. If Trey could have done equal to or better than Jimmy -- a "bottom third qb" -- he would have been starting last year.

"If" and "could have" really don't belong in the the same clause like this. He would have been starting would have had to come 1st,...yet him doing better can only be found out 2nd. Lol a possible future can't dictate the past, so what you are suggesting is a sheer impossibility.

You speak about unhinged takes,....and then you proceed to make exactly that in the very next sentence.

Nevermind I found it, 2017.

You're referring to that once-in-a-generation 7TD/5INT performance over our last 5 games?

Yes it is. Yet my original point was that Trey wasn't ready last year, which posters are trying to argue

A rookie, with less than 300 passing attempts in colege, who missed his last year, who played at north dakota state, was ready to lead an NFL team to the superbowl, when no other rookie in the history of the nfl has done it.

This is an opinion. It's not anything everyone KNOWS and takes as a fact. Once you can deal with this reality and the reality that you misspoke, everything is fine.

The 49ers would be better off right now if Jimmy was traded last year and Lance played.
Last year was a wasted season.
Those are the facts!

You know what else is an opinion? Warren Sapp would have been a better a qb than Tom Brady.

No season is wasted when you are 7 minutes away from the superbowl. The year before that was a wasted season due to injuries, not last year.

If we had started Trey for the playoffs, we'd have #6 now.

It sucks that we wasted a year of his development and got nothing for it.

Let's not divide ourselves into "Lance haters" or any nonsense. Everyone wants 49ers and TL to win. Some are more bullish on TL than others. No haters to speak of my man or lady whatever the case may be.

Reposting my 2022 TL statline:

16 starts

4592 pass yds
42 pass TDs
11 INTs
496 rush yds
5 rush TDs

Wow!!!!!!

Yup. There's a reason why this guy is a legit MVP candidate. Per the interwebs:

He's the third-most popular MVP bet, behind Buffalo QB Josh Allen and new Broncos QB Russell Wilson. Lance opened at 80-to-1, but has shortened to 66-to-1 as bets pour in. Nearly 10% of the MVP handle is on Lance, making him BetMGM's biggest liability in the market.Mar 9, 2022

Agree!

Who claims Jimmy to be a top 8 qb? I have never seen one post arguing he's a top 8 qb. Just because some don't call him trash, doesn't mean they think he's a top 8 qb. That's a big difference. And I have seen numerous posters call him trash.

I'm sure he already knows and regrets how he handled things.
