Lol

It's true. If the niners continue to win with Trey, guys arguing wasn't on Jimmy will now give trey credit for the wins.

I've been on the Lance train the whole time. If I pull this, please put me in my place.

Ive been on the wins is a qb stat the whole time. Even though it wasn't pretty. Jimmy brought the wins.

If Trey wins I will continue to say it's a qb stat. It's the most important position in all of sports. I don't buy guys arguing that wins isn't a qb stat.

I personally don't think it's necessarily a QB stat. I also don't believe QB is necessarily the most important position in sports. I think the whole franchise QB term is overrated.

Kaepernick is 4-2 in the playoffs 2-0 vs Aaron Rodgers

Jimmy Garoppolo is 5 - 2 in the playoffs 2-0 vs Aaron Rodgers.

You don't need an Uber talented QB to win in the NFL despite what the media tells you.

I think it's more than the media. GMs believe you do need a FQB , otherwise, they wouldn't be trading quality assets for them. Dump Goff bring in Stafford, dump Mayfield bring in Watson . I guess we'll wait and see how many SBs the Pats win with Mac.

When the QB blocks for himself while he stands back there and then catches the passes he throws it will become a QB stat. Football, more than any other sport is a total team sport. A pitcher can dominate a baseball game. One player can take over a basketball game. The best QB ever to play can't do a thing without a decent line and guys that can catch. That doesn't even consider a good defense that keeps the game close for him.

Ya who knows what he's talking about.

f**k outta here with that s**t. The two QBs are no more similar than Jimmy is to Cousins. Entirely different strengths and weaknesses, different approaches to the game, etc.

Now look at the Super Bowl winning QBs since 1992:

Franchise QBs:
Stafford
Brady
Mahomes
Brady
Brady
Brady
Wilson
Manning
Rodgers
Brees
Rapelisberger
Manning
Manning
Rapelisberger
Brady
Brady
Brady
Warner
Elway
Elway
Favre
Aikman
Young
Aikman
Aikman

Non-Franchise QBs:
Foles
Manning (at the time)
Flacco
Johnson
Dilfer

.
.

26-5. So you have to ask yourself, do you want a winning record, or do you want a ring? If you want a ring, my money would be on teams with a Franchise QB.

Yes the same Stafford that threw a punt to Tartt that could've sealed their fate.

Also, I believe Goff too went to a SB with LAR with a lesser team.

Last time we saw Watson in the playoffs he and HOU blew a bigger lead to KC than Jimmy G and the 9ers.

With all due respect how could you possibly know this in 10 quarters?

Pretty sure it was a joke btw.

What makes most of those guys Franchise QBs? The fact that they won SBs? The fact that their team wins with them? What is the definition of Franchise QB?

if ELI didn't win 2 SBs would he be a Franchise QB?
If Aikman didn't have a Great OL would he still be considered a Franchise QB? If DangerRuss didn't have legion of Boom and looked like he has since, would he still be a Franchise QB?

Why didn't you list the losing QBs? Because they lost SBs are they not Franchise QBs?

Easy, now. Breathe in. Breathe out.
IMO, a FQB is one who spends a decade or more with the same team. If Eli didn't win those super bowls he probably wouldn't have been a FQB because I imagine they would have moved on from him a lot sooner than they did.

So how are guys considered franchise guys well before 10 years. Baker Mayfield and Jared Goff were both considered FQB

Not to anyone with a pair of eyes and a simple grasp of reality.

Stop cherry picking certain plays. You're telling me you'd rather have a Goff, Garoppolo, Cousins etc than Mahomes, Brady or another elite QB to try and reach the SB ?
