So how do you then measure someone's level of play by a team's accomplishment?

Different QB thread,...but Woo once again falling down the same exact rabbit hole.

How many elite QBs had there been over the past 20 years?

Everyone can't be elite.

Who are the all time elite QBs?

Is Steve Young elite in your rating?

Ask Dan Marino if it's a team sport. On of the greatest QBs and maybe the best pure passer ever and he saw one SB and no titles. Same for Stafford. All those years struggling with Detroit and he goes to a team with real talent and they win a title.

I can with full confidence say it was not Aaron Rodgers fault the Packers gave up 181 yard rushing to Kap. I can with full confidence say it was not Aaron Rodgers fault the Packers gave up 200+ yards to Mostert. The most recent Playoff game I would say was Rodgers fault though

seems to me. when rodgers faces adversity with us in the playoffs. he gets disinterested.. kind of a bad thing for an elite qb.. guys like brady and joe and young would just get pissed and play better. maybe i am wrong
I am not going to spend time arguing whether or not Aaron Rodgers is an all time elite QB or not. It is a subjective ranking.

I put Mahomes and Brady on a higher tier than Rodgers and Wilson.

I would be happy if Trey was as good as any of them.
I can't wait to see this kids floor live!

...watch that growth!

Someone PM ExtendJimmy he'll explain Steve Young to us.

I fail to see how Wilson isn't elite. 9 Pro Bowl selections. Career 6.2 TD% to a mere 1.8 INT%. Five 30+ TD seasons, four of which came with over 4000 yards passing. Routinely generates MVP discussion for segments of the season. The best deep ball in the NFL. Five seasons with over 500 yards rushing. Steals victory from the jaws of defeat against us on a regular basis. Fourth highest passer rating of all time. Been in the top ten in Total QBR all but two seasons in his career. Tied with Drew Brees and Y.A. Tittle on the 4th quarter comeback ranking.

Had he played all 17 games his TD/INT stats extrapolate to 31 TDs, 8 INTs.

I can't imagine that not being elite, as in, around the top 7 or 8 QBs (after this group, most statistical measures plummet, until the next plateau is reached).

Kirk Cousins 4 years in Minnesota

5.8 TD%
1.7 INT%

3 out of 4 30+ TD seasons 3 of 4 over 4,000 yards passing. 2 out of 4 pro Bowls. With a higher QB rating than Wilson.

Yet he's never considered elite.

Because people have eyes. He is not "elite".

How can certain numbers make one elite but someone else with similar numbers not? Not just not elite buy labeled "limited"

That's all I'm saying. He laid out numbers to specify why one was elite.

Hit the nail on the head. You could watch him just get frustrated and pissy and throw in the towel. Greats get galvanized and try to take back the game. He just sorta begrudgingly accepts defeat...even when a game is potentially still in reach.

But man, it brings joy seeing that bum do that each time against SF.
