The real issue is it seeks so much attention from others. For Snake it is mission accomplished.
well if anyone knows that name would know mission wasn't accomplished

Regardless of what happens with Deebo, Jimmy and the rest of this roster in this weird offseason, there is going to be A LOT of pressure on Lance. He won't get that benefit of the doubt most first year starters get. He's gonna have to hit the ground running.

Or else what? We cut him?

What? No. I'm just saying that people are going to expect him to shine almost immediately, nationally and locally. Considering what we gave up for him, the Jimmy G controversy and the talent on the roster.

I'm going to be incredibly harsh on this guy for a while, and not without good reason. He was picked very damn high, and yet he still wasn't able to take the mantle (convincingly) early 2022. Opinions are a*****es and since I'm an a*****e I'm thanking my stars we kept JimmyG, cause this guy looks like just about 80% of the generic "test tube" baby quarterbacks I've seen in the past 6 years.

The worst thing about Trey is that he's very lazy, and unmotivated, he was giving up mentally in preseason + regular season during many situations. Thus not saying he'll amount to anything, but the guy was throwing to invisible people during the Texans game, and that was like the time you wanted him to just "lunge in" and take the starting role. Dude couldn't even out-class Jimmy with a f**ked up shoulder/broken fingers. Worst part is that Trey is 21, and that his football brain might not develop for another three years. Going into 2022 with him as the sole starter just reads "2006" all over again. He's gonna try too hard to overcompensate his weaknesses, and just might ram his head straight into a goal post.

Our OC bolts, and now the Deebo drama, so I'm feeling very troubled about the future of this young lad's respectability/legitimacy as a starter. Specially when Trey Lance has to be publicly re-assured of his status so that they cannot endanger his "confidence", in which I find very troubling. Jimmy on the other hand is getting disrespected left and right, and he's b***hing about starting, when Aaron Rodgers had to sit behind Favre for an eternity in Free-Agency era football?

Either way, we're stuck with him, I'll support him whenever he starts (since I'm a fan), but I'm not gonna buy his jersey until the week before he's traded.

Oh boy. Here come the same 10 posters to skewer you if you say anything negative about Lance. You can't have that kind of an opinion here. If you do, you're a fake fan amd a . I'm also waiting for a couple of and .

Ya calling him lazy and unmotivated and giving up mentality is "anything negative"

That was great. If you click on the "Read the full conversation on Twitter" link at the bottom, it takes you to a page where if you scroll down there is another video of that conversation that extends that one (and it is longer, too).

And here is a link to a much longer You Tube video of this exchange:

Sounds like Kittle is fully on board with Lance! I remember when a bunch of dorks were saying he wanted out because he didn't like Lance.

If he can limit the rookie mistakes it sounds like he could be fire right out of the gate.

People can have a change at heart. Kittle and Jimmy are good friends. It may have just taken him some time to come around to the idea of someone else taking over. No one can deny Trey's potential in this offense though and Kittle will be a beneficiary.

I don't think he ever had an issue with Lance taking over. Seems like he's been in board since day 1.

What we gave up for him wasn't his fault. I think most people thought he was a first round draft pick no doubt. Niners just wanted to get to him first so we traded additional firsts.

No player coming out of college is worth 3 firsts. It's kind of a ridiculous notion. They are worth 3 firsts because of supply and demand. There was HIGH demand in last years draft for a franchise QB. There is hardly any in this years draft.

So yes and no to him hitting the ground running. No he doesn't have to blow me away the first play of the game in 2022. I'm just looking for him to have a command of the offense and see how the other guys respond to him. I don't want him to go out there and throw 4 picks either. Just have a solid game win or lose. Show improvement and development.
Niners just have to survine through the early growing pains.

But at least it won't be Jimmy.

I'd rather go 0-17 with Trey than have Jimmy at QB
