I can't recall in the past 40 years I have seen a fanbase like the #49ers fanbase. I can't understand the rabid support for @treylance09 when nothing statistically or on pro game film supports it? Is it blind faith because San Francisco drafted him? What is the support based on? pic.twitter.com/sVYAptK26O

The dumbest part of this tweet is that he thinks it shows Trey in a bad light.
The actual play was a failure, a designed run on 1st and 10 in the red zone that went for maybe 2 yards, but it showed Trey's competitive fire and grit as he refused to give up on the play, attempting to drag a defender without a helmet.
It also was unnecessarily reckless given that he probably injured his knee on the play.
While the team lost (wasn't one of Shanny's better games, should of settled for FGs and not run Trey as much), Trey did impress in showing that he could fight through setbacks and mistakes and maintain his confidence and composure. That's important for a young QB.
Still wish they would've won.
I've seen fields, Wilson, Lawrence all suck just as bad. Who will be good and emerge from the pack is still a mystery.
I hope he worked on the short intermediate passes jimmy makes a living on. The one thing I'm looking for is getting the ball out fast. If he can do that a little better I think he has the best chance out of all the quarterbacks to succeed. Him and jones are the only ones on good teams.

He's shown that he can make the short and intermediate throws, and hit the slant route.
He did it consistently against San Diego in preseason. But he was incredibly inaccurate throwing slant routes against Seattle, which was likely due to nerves and lack of practice reps.
As the clip shows he was masterful throwing them against the Texans when he had a full week of starters reps and almost a seasons worth of studying film and learning the offense under his belt.
