How does that equal to being underwhelmed tho? Why would the staff say they're underwhelmed when OTAs haven't started yet? If this was said during the season this would've been reported right after the season. John made it clear that they were in the process of trading away jimmy but the surgery caused a bump in the road.

There is only one way to fund out and its when he plays, s**t like this is irrelevant and is only a story cause this is a dead period of the offseason.

Maybe because this franchise has been incredibly tight lipped about anything except when pushing out information they WANT out there.

The sources who have typically been go to for 49ers in getting info they actually want out there have been Maiocco, Peter King, Jay Glazer. So while MAYBE this guy has sources it is HIGHLY unlikely that they're anyone with actual say in the 49ers front office/coaching staff.

If it's anyone who was on the staff they're likely not on the staff anymore for a reason.

At least we didn't draft Trey Lances replacement like the Patriots drafted Mac Jones replacement.

1 thing we know about this regime is they do not leak anything they don't want out there. So either they're leaking it because they want to up any possible value for Garoppolo or more than likely this is simply BS or sour grapes from guys on the outs.

We lost a few coaches this offseason...including one who is likely the source assuming there is actually a source which is Scangarello

Scangarello is probably the source. I remember reading rumors on Twitter or some other forum about this from a guy who knew him. Apparently he wanted Mac Jones and was very upset when Trey was drafted. Also supposedly, he felt Trey was a disappointment. But sounds like confirmation bias to me.

Probably why he's gone. Don't think he's a good coach anyway.

It is interesting to note for sure though. He was with the Eagles back in 2020, so he could have been feeding this to that beat writer.

It´s not against you but this idea that there´s Trey fans on one side and Jimmy fans on the other tends to annoys me a little bit.
I like both of these QBs. Two really good guys. Jimmy helped the Niners a lot and had some great performances. The Niners win with him.
But I understand his physical limitations with his arm and his mobility post ACL surgery. So, I think it´s great that Kyle went all in with Trey who has the arm talent and the scrambling ability to bring something more to the offense.
I ´m a little bit sad that it ´s either one or the other.

There's nothing wrong with being objective. Most the Jimmy "haters" are just being objective but in todays society it's either you're with us or you're against us and deserve to be water boarded.
