The concern that Trey Lance isn't ready is unfounded. He already had a rookie season where he took his lumps, made rookie mistakes, and also shown flashes of elite QB play.
And by the time he starts Game 1 of next year, he will already have 2 training camps and OTAs under his belt plus a full season of studying film and learning the nuances of the offense. Let's not forget also working on his mechanics with renown QB coaches, 3DQB, and immediately implementing those lessons by working out with his Niner receivers, further building chemistry.
You don't need to see a player fully formed to know if they'll be successful, you can tell by how much time they put in during the off-season and their reported work ethic.
All success happens not by accident, but by commitment to preparation, studying, and training.
That's why Trey's performance in a must win game against Houston wasn't some fluke.
Going 16-23 69.57% completion (inaccurate, riiight) 249 yards 2 tds 1 int for a QB rating was the result of working hard behind the scenes.
Don't listen to the slow learners, we have a good one who's going to thrive in a good situation.

You again.
I've seen all the QBs since 82'. Jimmy was mediocre to begin with and has a broken body. His stats are inflated from playing in Shanahan's offense where receivers are schemed open and where he always takes the under route or check down. There's tons of film and analysis to corroborate.
He's a winner in life, well liked, handsome, and rich, but football is a meat grinder and doesn't care about his limitations or bad luck. With that, f&%k him as a football player and f&%k the Supreme Court for planning on ending the right to abort mistakes like you.
Please post away, troll.

You mad bro?
Jimmy played through a thumb and shoulder injury last year. He's a baller.
Also, you haven't named a player who played one year in college and was successful in the NFL. Sorry about your boy Lance, but he's not it and Jimmy is much better for the team than he is
