Jimmy played through a thumb and shoulder injury last year. He's a baller.

Also, you haven't named a player who played one year in college and was successful in the NFL. Sorry about your boy Lance, but he's not it and Jimmy is much better for the team than he is

Jimmy doesn't even stack up to Trent Dilfer, no Pro Bowls, can't win a SB, losing record whenever he throws more than 30 passes.

Him getting injured in his 2nd start for New England foreshadowed his career.

I get the feeling the FO is going to come out on a PR push to counter this "underwhelming" talk. The 49er fan base is so wound tight, that any marginal beat writers or scout can go viral by just fanning the flames.

This will only continue to intensify when Jimmy is healthy. I just can't imagine the niners risking jimmy getting hurt again and thus guaranteeing his whole salary. But I've been wrong now several times during this weird story.
