There is something so side-arm/submarine about his release. I love it

Cleaning up throwing mechanics is something QB's work on for the entirety of their careers. It's okay if it's not Peyton Manning or Tom Brady level clean now, but just as long as it's a little tighter than last year.

I agree if that's the way he throws it's the way he throws. More important for Trey IMO will be his footwork and his anticipation, that's what I'm really watching out for.

That is all I was saying yesterday. His throwing motion looks more compact than it did a year ago. Improvement is improvement and having expectations for a 2nd year QB as you would have for a 15+ year vet is simply unrealistic.

It all comes down to reps. If he makes it through half the schedule the keen eye of the 49er Faithful will be able to make an assessment.

His throwing motion is fine, it's funny how people on here all of a sudden know proper techniques. Didn't realize how many QB gurus were had in the WZ.

Is this because you believe Jimmy is vastly underrated or that Trey will be a bust? I just don't understand based on evidence we have.
Nekro is trolling
Thanks for speaking for me.
Trey is not the answer. But than again I said Reuben Foster was a terrible pick for us and got all types of hate for saying that, yet I was right, wouldn't expect anything different now.
i can understand the Foster call but what are you basing calling Trey a bust on? we all saw the massive improvement from the AZ to HOU games last year.
is this just a gut feeling?
I'm thinking more of a pillow case feeling. If said pillow case was worn with a robe.

Drama queen much? I would say that any concern is just premature. Let things unfold in camp and preseason.

i am,, i am just stating the outcry that goes up when you dare question the line aside from trent especially the kid center we have. and then worse,, you got people accusing those who have concerns about the o line.. that they are not really fans and they want the o line to fail so they can be proven right.. and please do not even try to tell me. that crap does not take place here. i actually have more confidence in the center than MM. he is skinny and will get pushed around more than usual. my opinion and if wrong. i will own up to it

Disagree, I think to a certain extent you can work with a players natural movement, but good mechanics does improve accuracy and power. I saw Bernie Kosar play with that side arm throw, (he seemed to be literally throwing it from his hip) and the 49ers destroyed him because his mechanics were terrible. I think, over time, because Trey is so diligent - those mechanics will continue to improve next year and the year after and so on. He is still very raw in a lot of ways.
Josh Rosen had great mechanics. He said mechanics are overrated not that they don't help.
