Probably going to need today off because of lack of arm fitness.

I don't understand why athletes today need so many off days to rest up. We see thus in all sports and it doesn't make sense. These guys have modern training methods and are supposedly more physically fit but they're always taking days off. At least in football it's usually just practice since the games are a week apart.

His throwing motion is fine, it's funny how people on here all of a sudden know proper techniques. Didn't realize how many QB gurus were had in the WZ.
Bump since you never responded:

This new school of QB mechanics LITERALLY teaches them to use more elbow than shoulder, so that they can throw side arm, for more off-platform throws. It wouldn't be surprising if his arm was tired. No clue who lobs is.
Look I'm a big fan of Trey and was jumping for joy when we drafted him, I just wish they would have left his mechanics alone. All of the "project" talk was stupid, and only said because he was coming from a small school. He was a polished QB. NOW he looks like a project, and Shanahan is running him like he's Cam Newton, which is a disservice to his development as a passer. Hopefully this season looks very different than his games/reps last season.
It's called arm slot...and guys like Stafford AND Jimmy use it to make throws from different angles all the same.
Kyle said his arm was sore only once in the beginning of TC last yr. He didn't even know what people were talking about when it was brought up at a lunch with Lance/BA a couple weeks ago. Kyle also said he's never had a QB NOT have a sore arm at some point. That goes for guys like Ryan/Kirk all those in the pocket old school passers.
Look my point is your theory doesn't hold water. His mechanics doesn't create anything abnormal
Again, being able to use different arm angles/slots in various situations is great, but that's not what has been discussed these past several days. You and others have made the case (well done by the way) that these young QB's are being taught to alter their delivery on every throw, not just when a situation calls for it. And since it's more of a side arm type delivery, which puts more stress on the elbow, it would stand to reason that their arms would get tired.
Here is a video describing the type of elbow injury that can occur from not extending the arm out in front, but rather to the side:
Here is the one someone here (maybe it was you?) posted, which is the interview with Burrow and Simms, and @ 12:00 Burrow is literally describing a more side arm delivery. And ironically the same type of arm-across motion that ends with a lot of rotation in the forearm. Which the previous video shows causes elbow injuries.
So is it really surprising that we're hearing about Stafford, Lance, or any of these QB's having arm fatigue? For whatever marginal benefit these new QB throwing mechanics may offer, I don't think it's worth the potential injury to the QB nor having to deal with bouts of inconsistency (in game or in season) because of a delivery that's very hard to repeat.
But what do I know, I'm just a "dinosaur" who prefers QB play and mechanics that has dominated the last 30ish years of the NFL.

Not one person said that.
No, a poster pointing out that a statement is factually incorrect is not saying you are "s**tting on the oline for years". Disagreements over opinion's about players and schemes is one thing, alluding to statements never made is another. Having a history of doing that will get you called out. Shrug. No one expects any different at this point.

NC has been s**tting on the line play for years lol. It is literally his gimmick. Not that he is always wrong, but come on, it would be the first line in his biography.

to me and many others.. he has had a right to be concerned about the o line in pass protection over the last many years.. concerned vs s**tting is a matter of opinion depending on the narrative you are trying to form.. .. and it has only been in the recent one or 2 years . if that.. he has focused on the line.. i clearly recall he and i having some heated 85 like back and forths where i was complaining about the line and he was telling me to shut up.lol

Disagree, I think to a certain extent you can work with a players natural movement, but good mechanics does improve accuracy and power. I saw Bernie Kosar play with that side arm throw, (he seemed to be literally throwing it from his hip) and the 49ers destroyed him because his mechanics were terrible. I think, over time, because Trey is so diligent - those mechanics will continue to improve next year and the year after and so on. He is still very raw in a lot of ways.
Josh Rosen had great mechanics. He said mechanics are overrated not that they don't help.
Well between knowing the snap count and having great mechanics - having great mechanics is overrated versus knowing the snap count.

Preview.
"gonna take it one day at a time"
"just about making the team better"
"improve every day"
"Jimmy was a great mentor"
"just gonna have to prove I can do it"
im sure I'm missing plenty of the cookie cutter QB talk.
