Mortgaged our future for this goofball. Ughhhh

This isnt the Russell WIlson thread on the Denver Broncos site

This. If you don't like Trey's personality you're probably the goofball.

He's just soft and not ready for the League. It's obvious.. all over his face and body language. I don't care how much our staff tries to prop him up, they don't have a choice... this administration is tied to him. And unfortunately, they tied themselves to an anchor.

Oh well.

Oh I see... we're just making s**t up this morning.

Are you the same that said you could tell that Trey was scared sitting on the bench from the look in his eye?

Dude just had a major hardon for Fields and is still pissed we didn't pick him.

This is true, however, Lance has done nothing to dissuade the fact that I didn't like him predraft.

The only rookie QB's last season who had any significant playing time that looked half way decent were Mac Jones and Davis Mills. Trey won a must win head to head against one of them.
Right now, before the season starts, fans who are all in on Trey, calling him the next mahommes or Allen, love the IDEA of Trey. They love the IDEA of a mobile athletic strong arm passer. They are projecting what they love onto Trey amd believe it will translate. The reality, however, is he hasn't looked great so far. The hope is that he will make huge strides this year. But the fans who are already annointing him have no f**king clue how he will turn out. Let's pump the brakes on the expectations, see how he progresses this season, and hope it turns out fantastic.

I will say the same for the fans that are already calling him a bust.

Lol guy has played two games in his career - drastically improving from game 1 to 2. This is his first full off season as the starter and is 2 days into training camp.. and we have this much crying and whining going on?

come on guys, don't drag the webzone down - we are supposed to be having fun in here.

Some are upset because the 9ers decided to move on from Jimmy. Others are upset because Kyle didn't draft the QB they wanted.

Regardless of what some think of Lance, It's Important the fan base at least gives him a full year before calling him a bust.

Some also hate Kyle for unspecified reasons.

Gotta say TL handles himself well in the pressers. Not sure what that means in terms of his success.. but I say it's a good thing.

actually that not a finger.. as i said stay after practice and not offseason.

as for off season Trey has already had off season workouts with teammates two years in a row.

give credit where it's do, Lance is showing that he wants it more

I give Lance plenty of credit, was one of the few folks who was wanting us to draft him when all of the McCorkle bs was going on. Lance isn't showing he wants it more, you just seem invested into tearing down a player who did a lot for this team and behaved like a true professional his entire stint with the team. Like I said, that you feel the need to tear one guy down to prop another one up is asinine. You can appreciate the new and the old at the same time, there's no bonus points for ignoring reality, in fact it makes you even less credible. I have no problem at all appreciating both what Trey is bringing to the table, and what Jimmy did in his time here. I don't have an agenda to push, nor do I think it makes a person a better fan to dog a player that gave it his all when he was out there, even if it was limited. What you claimed is straight up a lie, and I am calling you on the b******t.

Some are most likely frustrated by the lack of super bowls this team has won since the 90s. Hopefully that changes now Kyle has his hand picked QB

It means he's destined for greatness.

Yeah but this is the WZ . Most, but not not all, of the opinions voiced here are in general worth what they cost to read. 😜

We will see Trey called both a bust and the best QB since Montana. Both opinions will be stated with almost no real evidence .

i hope the young man is wildly successful , and I think he has what it takes. The evidence will be what he does by the end season.

This.

It's important that he feels love and optimism when he takes the field. Trey could handle people doubting him, but do we want him to handle things, or do we want him to thrive?

Fan support will help him. Write what you think, but cheer in the stadium, and if you're already thinking about booing every mistake he makes, maybe don't go to games.

I always felt better when the QB could get up in front of the media and handle it well. It doesn't mean he'll be great but it does instill some confidence. When the QB exudes confidence and is comfortable in front of the media, there's a good chance he'll be the same with the team. Just one part of being a good QB.
