yeah I think Jimmy is who he is and has had the luxury of being on a couple good rosters with top end coaching staffs. Regardless I wish him well and thank him for being part of making this team watachable and relevant again.

The danger with this line, "Jimmy had the luxury of _____" is that you'll get frustrated when it's used for Lance. You want to get behind Lance, as any of us should, but I can promise you any success he has this season people will add that caveat.

Jimmy is better than what a lot of teams in the NFL have. Leave it at that. If Lance is better then bully for us. When you add caveats to Jimmy due to the team, you'll have to add those to Lance.

Of course you do. If the 49ers have a top 3 defense this year and say Justin Fields has a bottom 3 defense, you can't say that Lance didn't have the advantage. The only real difference is that Lance is basically still a rookie and Jimmy was an 8 year vet.

But I do expect that fans will judge them as the same anyway. That's just how it is.

Hopefully you'll be calling people who criticize Lance "haters" as you did with Jimmy (on games you consider to be good performances) #consistency

Did I not defend Lance last year in his starts? I said many times that Lance needs grace. Don't know why you'd think it'd be different other than your bias of me. #consistency would be to expect me to do that, not hope.

I have bias when evaluating players just like everyone else. But I think it's silly to hold grudges or be biased against posters you don't even know. I do enjoy your videos and appreciate them and I have no reason to suspect anything about YOU as a person.

We have disagreed on several issues, one of them is in regards to when it's an appropriate time to criticize Jimmy

I know you haven't posted much recently but I'm seeing the same posters who were consistently calling out others for hating on Jimmy... have no issues being hypercritical on Lance. So I assume you missed many of those posts.

My main point is... IF everyone is truly being consistent, I should be called a Lance hater this year.

So feel free to call me out if you feel I'm being inconsistent. No worries. I thought it was fair to ask you that since you asked NY about his perceived bias.

Quite the projection there. Last season was hard for you. I remember you not being jubilant until we lost to the Rams in the NFCCG. Sad and pathetic.

I will always greatful for every win, unlike some of our "fans". That's why my bar will not be lowered this season. Lance will rise to the occasion. Hopefully, "fans" like yourself can get behind this team once again.

Anyone that is critical or doubting of Trey or the offense as a whole after just 2 unpadded TC practices in July has an agenda, plain and simple.

Nobody has been critical of Trey and and offense. We were discussing season outlooks. And how we shouldn't be quick to write off seasons before they even get started. I know reading comprehension is not for everyone.

lol another one.

Props for not not bringing up Jimmy in that post. Albeit a short post so would have been hard to squeeze it in.

But you just brought up Jimmy. Now I just brought up Jimmy.

Doh! I've been suckered in by the Jimmy lovers lol

did it again. It's rubbing off on me

Here's that play of him taking off for a 30 yard gain

This is mostly a joke but we may need to start talking about "leg fatigue."

With what JD highlighted in his breakdown and every clip thus far, he is constantly on the move, even on fake handoffs. Constant naked bootlegs, fake hand offs and sprinting out of that, off schedule runs, on schedule runs, roll outs, etc.

Can they try to develop this kid from the pocket, please?

His legs are about to fall off. He runs more than his receivers on a route. LOL

I'm starting to sound like a huge Trey hater and I'm honestly not. I just think it's going to take him a few years, if he ever gets it, and that's not great timing for our current situation. It's not his fault though. You won't see me crushing him when he doesn't hit the ground running. Don't even understand how anybody would expect it. Hope for it, sure.

Allen had 10 TD passes and 12 INT's in 12 games his rookie season. Barely had over 2000 passing yards. His deep ball was good but had trouble hitting anything else. Even the 5 yard passes were an adventure. He barely completed over 50% of his passes. The reason why Allen became successful wasn't just his skillset, Alot of players come out of college loaded with insane physical ability and never turn out to be good at the NFL level. It was his work ethic and other intangibles. I believe Trey has those same traits and why I believe he is going to eventually be very good. But he needs to play, He needs those reps because there is no better experience than playing.

Dude I totally forgot about how quiet he was during the playoff run until we lost the NFCCG. Amazing. And here he is trying to lecture you about getting behind the team lol.

The stats are a product of a variety of things. I'm talking mainly about his physical ability to manipulate the football, lol. You could see it in college, you could see it when he struggled statistically in his first two seasons, and now you can definitely see it as he has ascended into arguably the best player in football.

Regardless, I absolutely agree about Trey needing reps to get better. My concern is what that development will cost our 'win now' team. We're not rebuilding. Can't wait to watch.

I know you're kidding but the upside is hat Defense will be ready for Fields week 1. And Trey gets more accustomed to NFL speed on scrambles. Any word on if he's practicing sliding?

Not just him. There were a few. It was like their SB victory, while the rest of us actual fans, were mourning the loss.

but were the ones with agendas. How rich...

Oh I remember there were quite a few, just not as vocal as Ring is being right now about "getting behind Trey." Which, beside Geek, we all are. They're acting as if us being concerned about mechanics and wobbly passes is the same thing as actively rooting for Jimmy to lose the game for us.

What are you talking about ? I didn't post any less or more before/after the NFCCG and it's not like the former QB played well during those games, so if I was hater like you claim, you'd think I would have been pretty active during that time.

"It's been awesome," Lance said of his offensive line's work early in training camp. "Jake Brendel's done a great job at center. Dan Brunskill as well. We've got two or three rookies that have done a really good job, getting a lot of reps with the ones. A couple of guys in my class, Aaron Banks and Jaylon Moore, I can go up and down the line.

"But those guys have done a great job. It's hard without pads on these first few days, but I'm super excited to keep going and keep growing with these guys."

True. But the thing is allen did terrible and still had confidence. Im worried trey might lose confidence if he has a bad season and just sees ghost forever. Does he have the mental fortitude to go through this?
