...and Lance is the best QB on the team for that.

Yep. So let's get it. No excuses.

B2B has been on a crusade all offseason long to get people to say that there are no excuses for our team not making the playoffs, and bringing that all back to our QB change.

I even said its entirely possible that we could have an upgrade at QB and be a worse team do to other circumstances, but that still wasnt enough for him.

My crusade, you're too much sometimes lmao

My believe is that this team is stacked and ready to win now. You don't agree? Do you find that far fetched? Do you truly believe that this team is worse than last year? Maybe OL? But I think we've upgraded secondary and special teams.

This team is mostly the same, with an upgrade at the most important position. So why should expectations drop?

That's all fine - but that's not how you judge individual players.

Team is stacked on paper - but they have not played a single game this year. It doesn't matter whether we look better on paper than last year - it's still to be seen. Not to mention - coaching staff has gone thru a big change, injuries are a factor, players contracts situation matters, and opponents will be different and therefore matchups.

Every year is different. You can bring the same team or even a better team - doesn't mean you'll achieve same or more success. Every players gets evaluated...last year's performance don't count this year. This is why we play the game...you have to start from 0-0 as a team and 0 stats/performance metrics for all the players.

Are other teams any better? Or do we play ourselves for 17 games?

This team is stacked on paper. You agree. That's what my expectations are based on. And we upgraded a few positions. including the most important position in all of team sports. Unless you disagree on that now? You're bringing up a lot of what if that have yet to happen. I'm basing it on hat this current team was able to accomplish and the upgrades we have made. As we stand right now. Seems like players agree based on Ekubams comments.

And Of source every year is different. Games need to be played. Duh lol

Do you think Raiders fans are lowering expectations because they have a whole new coaching staff, injuries might happen, contract situations, opponents will be different etc ? No. They are talking SB after upgrading a perceived weakness of theirs with Adams. And now they are talking SB. Yet, we shouldn't, even though we went to a NFCCG, because what if's like freak accidents might happen lol

im sure Chiefs Bills Bucs Rams etc all are lowering their expectations because every year is different. Cmon now

yeah every team plays themselves. is really where we are going with this lol

So much for all the bringing #6 talk we heard all off-season.
This team is stacked on more than paper. These guys are proven. Kittle, Aiyuk, Deebo, Trent. Hell you could even make a case for Elijah. A team one play away from the SB last year.

That talent right there alone is far more than most teams. Outside of significant injuries there are absolutely no excuses. I have full faith this team will be successful myself but to say "on paper" is not correct. This team is loaded. Not perfect but more than most.
Per PFF the rosters of the Bucs, the Rams, and the Packers are ahead of our roster in the NFC.

Do those count as excuses?

This is what I'm saying.sounds like you and Ekubam are on my same "crusade" lol
They know this team is close. Next step is clinching. Not time to start selling ourselves short.

as far as paper comment. I understand injuries can happen like in 2020. That's always a possibility but until that happens I'm not lowering the bar.

No because other teams have changed. And some have had coaching changes. And they might have injuries. Oh and there is always contract situations. So they might all go 0-17, which clears the way for this stacked team to win #6

Let watch Lance play a few games before we go dreaming too much lol
Again....closeness is a measurement vs. other teams. The more distance you have in front of your opponents, the closer you are. How much distance do we have in front of guys like Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Stafford, and their teams?

We havent even seen what this team looks like in a preseason game yet,....lol.

You can't really guarantee anything in free agency football. That's why it's the sport it is today. Take away all of the unknown variables and it's not nearly as entertaining.

Well of course, biggest question mark on the team. But this team is good enough to carry any QB, like last years playoffs.
