....with such high "expectations" you supposedly have,...why does another thread have your prediction for this season being 10-7??

Which version of what you supposedly think is the truth?

I accounted for struggles that come with an inexperienced QB. But still have us going to the playoffs, due to a stacked roster and with Lance hopefully living up to the hype. I don't see the problem. I needed to pencil them in at 20-0 with a SB win, in order to claim high expectations for this roster. Not the gotcha moment you think it is lol

Why do you care more about the Pats and Mac Jones? You seem to bring him up quite a bit. If I recall correctly he has his own thread you can go post in.

lol

"but...but...but...Jimmy (in this case - Mac)" crowd

Like Kyle said, even in the inexperienced and weak areas, you still have support around them. No need to lower any expectations. The key is to have realistic ones to begin with.

Last years record was 10-7. That's with all the ridiculous injuries we dealt with in first half of the season. So I think thats a realistic expectation to begin with for a talented but inexperienced QB on loaded roster.

Treys going to have his battles and have some bad days but he simply needs to play within the offense and he'll be fine. I expect him to play well, I actually would love a Mahomes scenario, but it's not rocket science that a 22 year old QB has a lot to learn.

That's not negatively looking at it, it's common sense. Trey doesn't have to come out and be the best QB in the league he simply has to control his learning curve and limit costly mistakes. And yes he will make mistakes that's not trashing him(insecure) that's reality.

Yep, I agree. Just needs to play within the system. Not try to do too much. I still think he's capable of playing like RW 2012 & 2013 season. He relied on his running game and defense to do the majority of the work and sprinkled in some Wow plays here and there.

There it is! Not all expectations are necessarily bad. Some just aren't as high as others
I think Trey can be as good as Russell Wilson was his first year

I say Donovan Mcnabb.

3300-3600 passing
22-25 TD passing
13-17 ints
57%-62% comp%
450-650 rushing
5-10 rushing TDs

Yup. This was actually the player comparison I used for Trey once I saw we were considering drafting him. I see a lot of similar attributes when comparing today's game vs yesterday's
